sure that would be awesome to play, and if its on GHWT then awesome, but what about vocals? theres no lyircs to the song, how could that work?
i know its not fully confirmed and all, but i'm just making a point. |
The vocals simply won't play the song, I'd assume.
There's not a question of whether or not instrumentals can be present; the upcoming Metallica album, which will be out for DLC, allegedly has an instrumental in it. |
But didn't Harmonix have a problem with YYZ? |
I considered mentioning that, but I decided it wasn't necessary. If it's an on-disc song, I can't imagine it would be a problem for this song. Besides, it was never confirmed that YYZ was the source of the problem.
and instrumentals being on is good. |
Yeah, instrumentals give us the chance to get our hands on more buckethead and other solo guitarists, i.e. malmsteen and paul gilbert, and it also gives us the chances of Orion and To Live is to Die on GH:M. _________________

Indeed. Huge thanks for uploading that, franknfurter.
So, these are the artists I see on there that hadn't been listed before; tell me if there are more (may miss/repeat some that were confirmed, apologies in advance):
Sex Pistols
Lacuna Coil
Jimmy Eat World
Stone Roses
Bullet for my Valentine
Willie Nelson
The Living End
Wings
Rise Against
MC5
Steely Dan
REM
Lynyrd Skynyrd
311
If anyone has any idea what the ones that are heavily covered up by the band in the middle are, let me know. _________________

the living end are listed twice. maybe that means they'll have two songs. or maybe one cancels the other out, so they're not on it. if so, they're missing another paramore _________________

So it appears that the rumored setlist is real afterall.
Eh. Only a couple songs are really jumping at me. I'm disappointed. |

Ah. I see those, too, but we already knew about them.
Sooooo what I think I'll do is update the OP with these artists and leave everything else as is, since this doesn't confirm any of those songs themselves. Though it certainly does make them all look much more likely.
EDIT: and also I'm gonna move the European bands to Confirmed with the same earmark that they had before. _________________

It's a GameStop ad, that contains neither Activision or Neversoft's logo. What does this mean? It's just another mock up made using the most speculated things from the game. They do it for EVERY major title. This should in no way be taken as confirmation of anything. |

but it says they have a code for unlocking all 85 songs straight away, so they obviously have ties with activision, and then they list a big ol' pile of bands. seems legit to me
why would they list a bunch of bands who turn out not to be in the game? there would be panic in the streets of london, panic in the streets of birmingham. i wonder to myself, could life ever be sane again? _________________

A code to unlock every song is always circulated when a new GH game comes out, always. They listed the most speculated bands. They don't care if they are wrong, because when the game comes out, are you really gonna be complaining that GameStop lied to you about a band's inclusion? The ad will have been long forgotten by then. This is how GameStop is going to get away with it, and how they have gotten away with it for years. |
