I think it should be added to that wiki list that submitting coop individual scores in GH5 is not allowed, since other players can give you excess SP and inflate your individual score.

I think pausing should be legal. I have a hands sweating problem and i need to pause many times to clean the guitar.

Now personally, I think that switching controllers is only legal during a BRE. Trying to get a high score with a song that has a BRE on a non-strat controller is like trying to cut steel with a butter knife.

In any other situation, it should be illegal.

I'm going to be honest, i didn't read through the 18 pages, so if this is already covered then don't go sick at me:

On the pausing half way through a song issue, I find that it gives an unfair advatage to the player involved. I myself used to pause half way through songs to check the SP paths, but, because of my conscienceness, I never submitted these scores, other players have been known to pause through songs such as TTFAF and often TWIE, because their 'hand hurts' Personally, I would call this a cheat so if you do pause...

SHAME ON YOU ;)

Alright I've got a question on legality. Is it legal to have a friend help you play if it's during co-op.

example 1. My brother and I are playing tdwdtg, him on lead and me on rhythm, we get to vsr and he strums for me while I fret/tap the frets. We've done this but didn't submit it, It wasn't even a good score.

2. two people are playing ggaht on guitar and vocals, one person is better at both instruments so he sings until the second guitar solo and then they pause and switch in order to get a higher score.

Having someone else play for you (this includes fretting/strumming) is illegitimate, regardless of whether it's co-op or not. But if you don't submit the score, no matter how good it is, there's nothing to stop you doing it and you're only cheating yourselves, no-one else.

For your second example, I think this is still questionable right now.

I personally don't see a problem with it, since you're not modifying the guitar, mic, game or console in any way while still playing off of you're own abilities, wherever they may lie.

But that's not definately correct, so you might be best to find a general agreement among other players.

first of all thank god for using any of you body parts is legal because i do the ttfaf intro with my tongue

anyways, i dont think pausing is cheating at all. i always pause in songs just to take a break because yknow, i want to

llast, i dont think that switching guitars is cheating. i have a bad whammy bar on on of my controllers but its better for solos so in cult of personallity i switch guitars at the second solo
