if there's a section in which you play with the dial to double your multiplier and a note right before it, you can play with the dial and hit the note as late as possible to get it under 2* the multiplier (try it out on groundhog, which is where i found out about it)

Just a quick thought lol

I don't see many people squeezing for notes in this game on certain songs due to the amount of things going on at once.

Very interesting find though, it's always fun learning the mechanics of a game engine and how it works, and hopefully in a month or so we won't be needing to use this technique to max out our scores, lol.

It's always crossed my mind: how exactly do the programmers make an "engine" that determines how late or early you can hit a note? And what is going through the programmers' heads when they go from a loose engine like GH3 to a tight one like GH:WT?

I make custom songs. Meaning I make my own music and chart them. Kind of like ExileLord

I squeezed both GH3 and WT and I have to say, the timing windows are VERY similar. The real bitch is the HOPO system, which is very different.

I know with Konami's music game series (DDR, IIDX, Pop'n Music, etc) the timing window is based on an amount of milliseconds. DDR's perfect window is argued to be somewhere in the vicinity of 36 milliseconds in width.
