Hey, I'm just starting out on GH vocals, but I'm not bad in the vocal world as a whole.
I've been reading though a few posts and I generally don't understand what some of them mean.
Well, most likely I do and not know the name like the word squeezing in regards to RB

Anyways, could someone tell me what:
Reds, Yellows and Greens are.
The significance of Freeforms (in WT and SH)
Any differences between Metallica, WT and SH
What kind of performance exactly is an FC? (And when I say FC, I mean enough to say that you have FCed a song and be technically correct)

Sorry to burden you guys, but I reckon I could get the hang of this GH vocals nonsense.

Red means you did really bad on a phrase. Yellow means you did OK. Green means you played it well enough to keep your combo.

Freeforms are spots in some songs that allow you to get a shitload of points if you sing the right notes. There are multiple Freeform guides in this forum, I suggest heading for them if you want to have a good rank on the leaderboards.

- In GHWT, it is nearly impossible to get 100% because you have to be perfect on every single word. Though you can still get an FC if you get Excellent on every phrase.

- In GHM/GHSH, when you FC the song, you get 100%. Not much different other than that.

- There's a bug in GHWT that makes the note streak emplacement show the amount of phrases you hit instead. It was fixed in later games.

See above. In GHWT, an FC doesn't need to be a 100% if you hit every phrase without breaking combo. In later games, an FC needs to be a 100%.

Awesome! Thanks man, that really helped.
So on WT, a FC is just literally keeping your combo all the way through?
I think that means I just FCed Never Too Late, Beat It, Lvia L'Viasques and Good God then xD

Correct. I congratulate for doing those as well. They are major ass-kicking Vocal Songs. Be sure you actually keep your combo through though by checking by going to More Stats. I believe Memesis said it was 80% and above to keep it, could be wrong though.

think it might be above 80% because I dropped combo once on my SR of Spiderwebs and all my percentages on More Stats were above 80.
Oh well, I'll get them redone when I don't have to borrow my brother Wii for it xD

Some sections are composed of more than one phrase. It's possible that you've gotten 79% on a phrase, and say 83% on the other one, so the game would've rounded it to 81%.

EDIT: *points to post count* 1993 is my birth year xD
