Elison is editing and processing the videos as we type. (see what I did there? <<)

I X Drum-Vox'd Second Chance and Devour and (X)Drum-(H)Vox'd Sound of Madness. Why hard? Because my voice was giving way and I could barely hit the lower phrases on X.

Very fun songs to play. Coincidently I won the "Sound of Madness" CD at a WWE RAW taping by kicking some dude's ass on TTFAF on X Guitar (lolwat) so I am pretty familiar with the songs.

Videos will be up soon. Enjoy. ;)

Not necessarily, I hadn't heard of the band either; then again, UK radio stations don't seem to be in favor of American rock bands at all out here, always playing with a lot of safer pop and local bands. >_>

But regardless, the pack was fun to do on vocals, no doubt about it. I don't know about you, but "Sound of Madness" must've been the toughest challenge for us vocalists all month; I swear there's something about it that makes it extremely fiddly to try and do, and very rarely can I even hit the intro in the original octave.
Also while we're on the note of that song... complete censoring fail on phrase 5.

Ah Kingsy my boy, that's why we don't smoke cigarettes, remember? =)

Anyway, pretty indifferent to this week, I heard the songs on the radio so they're alright, kind of simple on guitar but vocalists will have a bit of fun!

Sound of Madness

As someone who generally dislikes mainstream rock, I'm getting this.

I did actually hear them on with Second Chance on BBC2 once around Christmas time which was a pleasant surprise.

I really like the "Sound of Madness" album, so this track pack is an amazing must buy from a personal perspective.

I got excited when I saw "Shinedown pack," and then was disappointed when I found out it's all off the new album. I'm not a big fan of The Sound of Madness (the song,) Second Chance is an awesome song that isn't technically challenging for game purposes, and Devour's already in Rock Band. I would have liked to see Heroes, or even .45 or Save Me. They've got 3 albums to work with, and all three picks were off the same one. *boggle*

Oh well, any Shinedown is better than no down. They're one of my favorite bands of the last decade.

Wait a sec...just looked at the category they classified Shinedown under...POP Rock? They may be mainstream, but there's nothing "pop" about them. You cannot seriously listen to songs like Sound of Madness, .45, Heroes, etc. and classify them as pop. WTH, Neversoft?

There's actually a LOT that's pop about them.

Oh god, Second Chance. Quite possibly the worst song that doesn't feature horribly unoriginal autotune in ages (at least IMO).

The rest of the songs are fun though.

Honestly, I can tolerate terrible auto-tune pop more than Second Chance.

You know why I hate Second Chance (aside from the obvious reasons like it being exactly like every other ridiculous post-grunge ballad)? One line: "I just saw Halley's comet".

The last time that comet went by was 1986. It won't go by again until 2061. Like hell you "just saw" it. Unless you're a professional astronomer with access to a massive telescope.

But you're not. You're a "rock" star.
