On the first activation make sure that you are strumming the red hammeron as early as possible cause you wont get full ticks unless you do that. Also, do you know if you are getting any ticks on the 2nd activation... cause they are possible on hard at least and it is the same activation.

2 - nn (squeeze to red hold)
2 - nn (squeeze to orange hold)
2 - 4YO (squeeze to last RBO)
2 - 1YBO (squeeze to second RYB)

Note that the first two are tick squeezes so make sure to strum them as early as possible.
