Haha, whoops. Could've sworn I'd checked every link before posting. Thanks for picking that up. This is what happens when you use previous weeks as templates.

Closer looks pretty awesome.

Other than a few instances of the typical NIN problem of "should this be a talky or pitched?" the charts look really really good to me. Drums will just be annoying as all hell to play, but anybody who knows the song would know that to begin with.

Also expected is the guitar chart, which doesn't have any patterns that are terribly fun to play, but has such a wide variety of patterns that it makes it never really get old.

I have to say that those ADTR songs are probably the worst songs EVER to be released as GH DLC...

More NIN is fine by me, especially as none of the tracks have appeared in GH or RB before either.

I've FCed Closer on vocals, hopefully video coming of that one soon - and I have to say that the chart is pretty good on the whole - gets it right. As is Head Like A Hole, which is full of vocal rises and falls as well, that's going to be good fun to do.

More of the same in the future please!!

The Hand That Feeds was on RB1.

Anyways, looking at the videos of the songs I want, Closer looks like it'll be really fun on guitar. A lot going on, more than I realised, actually. I really love the mixing that's been done on it, both the guitar and the "guitar" really stand out as a lot going on, makes me wish I had it for myself just to listen to.

Apart from the censoring, naturally. But what's been censored is to be expected, and I've no complaints. Definitely getting the NIN songs.

I wonder what next month will bring...

So I saw earlier.

I'm glad I ended up buying 4,200 points, but I originally bought the points to get the Linkin Park pack over on Rock Band, but I checked out the Guitar Hero store first, because I wanted to get "Falling Down" by Oasis (I've recently become addicted to Eden of the East), and I ended up spending over 3,000 points there; so much that I couldn't afford the Linkin Park pack in the end! :P

Oh well, I'll get it another time. I've got a lot of good songs to go through on Guitar Hero now. I bought the Linkin Park pack on there, as well as the Soundgarden album, the P.O.D. pack, and several other songs, as well as "Head Like a Hole" and "We've Got a Situation Here" form the new pack.

And trust me, it's well worth getting hold of as well. Drums and vocals at least are thoroughly enjoyable.

Head Like A Hole on drums is pretty difficult even on the easier levels. I dread to think what it's like on Expert+

As for the vocals, the note charting is pretty much spot on for all three, so good job all round there.

If it does end up being one set of DLC per month, I hope quantity/quality wise we get the same choices.
