Hey guys! I've been getting really really really really into Lamb of God lately because I freaking love them. The instruments are all incredible and intense, while still melodic. The lyrics are just as amazing, because they are able to be brutal but also deep at the same time. I was thinking about the lyrics from one of my favorite songs of theirs, Blood of the Scribe, when I got a little confused. First of all, here are the lyrics to the song:

Blood of the Scribe Lyrics wrote:
All of this comes crashing down,
Cornerstone's gone
Sleepless
Hopeless.
No end in sight.
Ink well has run dry, fill it with blood of the scribe.

Rest comes easy, to the guiltless
The vampire laments, as he prays, for the sun.

Doom, despair, tragedy are the tools of the trade.

Cut to the bone, rob the grave
Under the stone, laid to waste.
Defile the tomb, rip the page
Striped by the vein, laid to waste.
Frayed at the edge, flat lined.
The anvil cracks the hammer,
Relentlessly comes down.
A new pariah is born
Cut to the bone, rob the grave
Under the stone, laid to waste.
Defile the tomb, rip the page
Striped by the vein, laid to waste.

Chastisement lays you down to sleep, tucks you in with bloody kisses
Gifts of nightmares bitter sweet.

Type A negative shuts me down.
Catch phrase will be death of me.
Is this not what you came to see?
What, are you not entertained?

Climb the walls 'til nails bleed.
Rip the hair, tear the seams, break the glass.
Head in hands, bell tolls endlessly
No end in sight.

Like most of Ashes of the Wake, I get that this song is largely about the government and the....shitty state of politics. However, the second to last section kind of throws me off. Type A negative shuts me down? Type A Negative seems to mean blood, but I don't really get that. If you guys can help me interperet this phrase, or find interesting meaning in any other part of these lyrics, feel free to point it out. I really enjoy looking at Lamb of God songs for meaning as well as general badassary, so a discussion on this would be quite interesting. If this becomes some sort of Lyric Analysis thread in general, that would be cool too...but let's think about this song first plz.

Oh, and if you haven't heard the song (lolwut), here's a vid of it. Very badass, so you really should check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvxHe3g3z60

HOW TO PRONOUNCE "TESUCH": Say Tea, like in "green tea," or a "golf tee." Then say "Sutch," like when you say "such as," it also rhymes with "Dutch." TEE-SUTCH. Say it right, plz.

<----- One of the hardest banners to earn on ScoreHero!!! The story is pretty good anyway, go ahead, give it a try!

The "ink well" has run dry, so he (the scribe) has to replace it and write with his blood. I'm assuming that in the section you refer to, he's run out of ink "blood." This is only my guess.

Also, like Laid to Rest, I think the song sounds kind of cool, but I'm very turned off my the vocal style.

The first verse is all about the scene where Harry fights the basilisk.
