It would be wise to change the Algorithm for Auto-Creation of E,M,H to never delete a long note. It should move it into the threshold zone but always keep the long notes. Also... rather than deleting notes according to 1,2,3,4- it works better to delete them according to the time between the notes as in the T&C algorithm.

Tool is not dead. I've been working on it a bit every now and then, but I have 2 jobs, and am a full time student. So this project got put on the backburner.

I am aware of the very slow load times, and I've been looking into that, as well as the massive amount of memory usage.

Once I have enough time to really pickup work on this, I think I am going to move from java over to c#. I've been learning about that language a bit, and it seems like it will be more portable, and I think I have ways to reduce the memory/cpu usage drastically.

If you do turn this into a C# program then I would definitely suggest you implement some pattern recognition into your code, where when the chart is ran through the basic algorithm, that it will keep the verses with repeating riffs and choruses throughout the song uniform after making changes... long notes and chords should be given precedence over all other notes as well. (Tired of seeing lots of empty fretboard where long notes go.) Altogether though, I really like the program for it's ability to save me tons of time on SP and filler difficulties. I do think it's possible to make an automatic converter that will convert difficulties perfectly, as long as the charts are tabbed perfectly that is.

Its probably me, but I can't get it to work. It converts the chart but then when I try to open it in Feedback, the program crashes.

Other charts work fine, just not ones coming from ACE.

Wait, your chart are in the "songs" folder on feedback?

when I try to open the chart by clicking directly on it (with the icon of feedback.exe), then the program crashes.

but when i open chart running with the feedback.exe, and then i load my chart with the feedback, works perfectly.

but if you are doing the right way, with the chart on "songs" folder and running with the fedback, i dunno what was wrong with your chart.

I found the problem of this mess with Feedback and Auto-Chart Editor.

This program is creating a line called "Null" at the top of each track. You need to use the Notepad and DELETE THIS LINE, and then it'll work correctly on your FeedBack

Well, you'd have to have an Expert chart already prepared, and it would add other difficulties and StarPower paths (on the absence of them)

In theory anyways, because SaveFile went down a long time ago and MegaUpload is under investigation.

Can some1 add another download link? Savefile and Megaupload are both unavailable now.
