Glad to get Six out of the way now rather than having it saved for the playoffs. None of my scores are what I was hoping for since I'm making GH2H my primary league with GH2X my secondary league. Time ran short this week so I wasn't able to FC Arterial Black, and I wasn't even able to beat any of my best scores for this league. It seems like taking a long break from GH didn't exactly do any favors for me.

Damn, I actually had a pretty good showing this week... and now I'm not even sure if I'll be able to play this week since my only good guitar started overstrumming like mad on Friday. Gonna stop at Radio Shack and hopefully I can get it fixed by tomorrow... Looking forward to my forearm hating me from playing Six.

Okay here is the run down last week's scores..

Message in a Bottle: Only song I basically tried. Dropped 3 ticks. Didn't get ANY ticks in the 3rd activation which I've gotten many times. I can get x70 tbh.

Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight: Fast BPM front ends are really broken. You honestly can't activate simultaneously as you strum because you miss your front end 400. Other than that I can easy get 1st place above Fug. I missed 16 ticks in the first act which is beyond easy. I can get x460+ easy if stupid 2nd act would cooperate.

Tattooed Love Boys: Missed 800 last activation LOL. Missed front and back end. This song really hates my front end. I missed my front end on EVERY activation except the last one hit all the back ends. So 331700ish is possible just front ends are dumb on high BPM. Doubles are possible.

Arterial Black:Hit every squeeze dropped 200 in ticks LOLFUCKINGLOUD. I literally spend 5 minutes on this song because holding ticks is sooooo annoying.

I should of gotten first on TigryT and Tattoed this week. Arterial Black is just stupid. Really weak scores overall for me. Only semi-decent score for me was Message.. even though I dropped 3 ticks and got no ticks on 3rd act.

Okay. I usually have a tough time getting that last G note under star power at the back end. Perhaps I'm not hitting the other two SP phrases early enough.

For future reference, say I did need to early whammy the hell out of that yellow sustain. Would hitting the red-blue sustain early help hit optimal ticks? If so, in our current situation, wouldn't hitting the red-blue early give me some cushion to transition to the yellow sustain while keeping optimal ticks and not giving up any (normal) whammy?

As far as I'm concerned, no matter how early you hit a sustain, you have to hold it until the end to get optimal ticks. If you actually needed early whammy from that kind of sustain to hit a squeeze or even to get more ticks under SP, you would have to sacrifice ticks in order to strum the sustain early. I may be wrong, but I doubt it.

EDIT: I tried to hit YRGM's first squeeze without the first early whammy and it's far from being easy after all. It's going to be pretty hard to minimize the tick drops and still get the squeeze...

On a side note, it might be the right time to post my in-depth opinions about this week's songs...

You Really Got Me: I'm afraid I'm going to suck at ticks on this one.
Woman: Again, ticks. If I can manage to hit the first hard squeeze, that is.
Freya: The first squeeze is fucking impossible. I don't even come close with a massive front-end.
Six: I swear to God, the outro is a lot harder than the intro. Fuck that shit.

Overall: I expect good scores, but bad ranks due to small spreads.

Just a quick heads up..this shouldn't be too shocking, but anyone who did not submit scores for the first two rounds will be completely dropped from the league and unable to submit scores for subsequent rounds.

If you didn't submit for week 1 and you still want to play, make sure to get a score in before midnight ET tomorrow!
