I've only started working with the charts on hard recently and hadn't gotten to this yet. Hard to believe it took unitl March '07 before someone posted a path. Could be because everyone assumed the posted expert path was the best, which I don't think it is (for hard anyway, I'm not doubting the expertness of the expert path)(although I think there are tweaks to it)(which haven't all been mentioned)(but the top expert peoples have figured out) (I think)
Anyway there's Mike's suggestion, my old blue background misnumbered path and Kov's? or somebody's expert path. All 3 don't use the last sp, so we're off to a good start. All three had the same final 2 activations so I didn't count notes in those. Mike, I am assuming you would activate where the most notes are since you didn't say and it does make a difference. And my usual caveat of my score is based on mediocre playing ability but I can add notes thing.
So.....Mike's first 3 activations of 4-2-1 is about 138 notes under sp
The posted expert path goes 2-3-2 and is about 164 notes!!!!!!
The SLowhand completely biased path going 2-2-2-1 is .................
wait for it...................
170 notes!!!!!!!!
I'm not saying this is the best path, just several more notes = points = power = money = time = power
2-2-2-1-2-3
2 - squeezers like the first GY chord here
2 - 1st note meas. 27, Mike this is where you lose notes by not using the sp3 and 4 whammy as well as the first three measures after sp4 aren't up to snuff.
2 - next chord
1 - GY chord meas. 59
2 - RY chord meas. 87
3 - first RY chord meas. 100
I used to play bass on this song in differnt bar bands yet I can't play it well on the plastic toy guitar. crap. _________________

I needed to improve this song anyway, I'll give this path a shot. |

254227 was the best I could get with that path. Godly squeezing won't make up the 4k I'm missing, though. Guess I'll see what's going on in the Expert forum. |

Hey, maybe this path will:
Higher Ground - Hard SP
However, it still doesn't explain the points that I'm missing. It did get me 2nd place, though. _________________

If you move the 2nd activation back to the first O of the set of 4, you can get an extra note under SP. That's the path I used, I seem to recall missing 1000 in squeezes and being roughly 1000 behind 1st.
Edit: you can also gain an extra note on the 5th activation by moving it to the RY chord 2 1/2 beats further on.
I never drew my path up as it was a quick once over whilst FCing for the first time. |
