Can anybody help me in custom songs?

I follow the steps of the tutorials to put new songs with Songlist Editor but always when i end doing it i get damaged files after launching guitar hero 3. I almost lost all my files, i was about to give up but i want custom songs and the old tutorials from 2007 will not make any difference in my problem. Can anybody help please?

Doing it on GH3PC, trying to create a CD for consoles. What?
For GH3PC just install GH3CP after patching to 1.31 and read it's tutorial.
