Hy guys i have Guitar hero 3 By kapital sin In my pc i want install this patch but patch cannot detect my guitar hero so plizzz help me

I'd like the point out the obvious and most common occurance of this.
Official patch doesn't work on pirated GH3, it won't detect it. Buy it.

Does it never work when you have a downloaded copy or just sometimes?
Worth trying a download or is it best to just buy the game at start.
