I try googling this and stuff but I didn't yield any results. I have been known to suck with search engines though. I also asked ChaCha, nothing. This is mostly just for curiousity's sake.
In the song Knockin' on Heaven's Door, the Guns 'n Roses version, you hear a phone number being dialed, as heard at 3:40 in this video. My question is what is the number dialed? It is 7 digits so it would be a legit phone number. I don't know how to listen to the sounds to see what numbers are being pushed but maybe someone else does. _________________

I'm about 40% sure it's 528-5568. (I'm kinda tone-deaf)
What I can tell for sure though is that the order of tones from lowest pitch to highest pitch on a phone is 147 2580 369#. I can't tell where the * is for some reason, though logically it should be right after the 7. I put spaces between the 7 and 2 and between the 0 and 3 because there is a larger gap between the tones there than within a vertical column. _________________

my best guess for right now is 669...something. On my phone dialing 669 matches the tone in the video. _________________

I guess Axl Rose couldn't resist seeing if this "Jenny" person existed. |

Sorry for the necro-post... I'm guessing the OP isn't still wondering, but I just did a search and couldn't find this answer either (but this forum post was at the top of the search), so I ran the audio through a DTMF decoder.
The number is 659-8890.
I guess now I can sleep tonight. ;) And hopefully the next person wondering will find this post.

Never forgot about it. Just figured it was a lost cause. That's pretty sweet though, dude. I tested it out and it sounds just like it, so good work. Another useless fact I can add to my collection. _________________
