I've just recently started to really get into them, and I am pleasantly satisfied with my decision. Slow Riot stands out as my favorite of the bunch, and not just because it's "short."

I've yet to listen to Yanqui, and I'm not so sure that I want to anymore.

I've yet to actually give Slow Riot a fair number of good listens and haven't spun it more than a few times so I'll leave it off for now. That being said,

Lift Yr Skinny Fists
Yanqui
F#A#

Sleep
East Hastings
Rockets Fall
Storm
9-15-00
Static
The Dead Flag Blues
Redeemer
Antennas To Heaven
Providence

They always have a way of making their last song on an album less brilliant than the others. That's not to say any of them are bad.

That's less than $20 a release, which is probably less than what they originally sold for.

It is Post-Rock, but I never found GY!BE to be anything special. Post-Rock definitely isn't a skim-through to check it out. GZ is fairly right when he says you're doing it wrong. Most Post-Rock artists are extraordinary at climactic build-ups.

On a tangent, "Masters of Post-Rock" easily goes to God is an Astronaut. If you want a good example of Post-Rock, here you go:

The second one is one of my favorite climaxes of all time, and the guy who made the Youtube video did a tremendous job editing it to the greatest film ever made, 2001.

Do Not Skip.

You, in fact, are 'doing it wrong.'

In other news, the new album is on point. 'worried fire' kills.

Those songs are good, but what happened to classics like Hex, Spiderland and Spirit of Eden/Laughing Stock?

Even though I made a pretty big underestimate for their albums, all of their records are available through Constellation for under $15 each, which even with horribly expensive Canadian shipping would be under $100.

Speaking of which, a very kind gentleman bought me 'Allelujah! for my birthday. Very excited for it when it gets here. The album is absolutely fantastic.

Eh, I feel like the buildup is really kinda weak on both of those tracks. They really feel rushed to me.

What's the point in listening to shitty dubstep when all you want to hear is the bass drop?

Also, clearly Explosions in the Sky is the bet post-rock band.

Allelujah may just be my favorite GYBE album after the first listen. I'll have to give it another go in a while, see how I feel later.

I think this might actually be legit. A lot of people seem to think so as well.

Our only real hope is if the guy sells it, and a competent fan/cassette ripper is able to upload it for us.

Unless Efrim or someone from Constellation comes out and confirms that it's legitimate, I will not believe any sort of "leak".

Regardless, if it turned out to be real I'm somewhat glad that he decided to not upload it. Efrim has always felt that All Lights Fucked wasn't worthy of being released again, so clearly it should be in our best interest to forget about it until they decide to do something with it.

Can you really leak something that was officially released, no matter how small the distribution?
