Tips on any part of the outro are welcome as I still struggle with most of it, but specifically the all-strum zig-zag. I have hit everything in the outro multiple times in practice except for the zig-zag, which I have hit exactly zero times. I honestly haven't made it more than a few notes into it. I don't really expect to be able to FC this, but I figure if I can get some suggestions there's no reason not to try them out.
The hard part starts at measure 429. |

It's not terrible when you break it down. Strum the 2 notes leading into it and use the hopo; don't even think about the hopo or the notes before as part of the zigzag. After that, the zigzag really only has 2 1/2 cycles. Emphasize the downstrumming on the reds or blues (whichever is easier for you) while ANCHORING the zigzag, which help me immensely. Then the strumming speeds up in the blue streak. Slow it down a bit to get used to anchoring and strumming the zigzag.
Here's a vid of me doing it a few years back (clip starts around 0:30):

This was helpful, thanks. I sat down and worked on it a little bit today and was able to hit the entire zig zag once. I think my biggest issue is figuring out the strumming speed. I'm pretty sure I strum too fast during that part. I might work on this section periodically cause I sure would love to have the FGFC. |
