Sorry that this is somewhat off-topic, but I'm having a really hard time finding any info on this and this seems like the most likely place to find someone who might know.
I'm working on a Custom Singstar disc and it'd all going fairly well, but I really need to be able to change what save file it uses, just like you can do with Guitar Hero Customs.
Anyone got any idea how I might go about it?
I've been consulting a tutorial on http://singstarmod.1a.to/ which has been really useful in respect to getting the songs in there, but it has no info on changing what save file is used.
I would post my question there, but that site is mostly in german and I can't figure out how to register for their forum.
I've tried renaming the SLUS_XXX.XX file, and I've tried replacing it with the file from a different Singstar game, but both those methods failed to boot. |

Just to cover the obvious - when you renamed the ELF, you also edited SYSTEM.CNF, right? If so, then there must be another reference to the ELF filename somewhere. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about Singstar so I can't help you with your specific issue. You might try looking for the filename using a hex editor's search feature within the game files (or perhaps even on an ISO image). _________________

Thanks for the reply.
I found out how to do it.
The answer is to edit the config.xml file.
There's a line with <PRODUCT_CODE>52268</PRODUCT_CODE>
and changing that number does the job of changing the save location. |
