Ok, I just got a DS and all of the handheld games. So far the only one I've played is Decades. The game isn't that hard except for alt-strumming. Is there any way to do it consistently? I've tried various ways and it always seems to overstrum.

Also while I'm here, are there paths for Decades, Modern Hits and Band Hero DS anywhere?

Hey
For the paths, I can't find any. I just make up random paths to be honest, and I manage to get close to the top of the leaderboard

About the alt-strumming, I'm not too sure, since I'm mostly doing easy/medium right now. I do have some expert in (satch boogie fc lol >.>) but I don't know how I managed that. I don't know what my strumming pattern is. There might be some videos on youtube of a hands cam showing how they alt strum.

I haven't played On Tour in years, but I agree with the alt-strumming. iirc I almost couldn't FC some Nirvana song because of it.

Thanks for the replies guys, I'm just not going to worry about scores for now. Turns out the mic on this DS is broken, so I can't activate well anyway.

Another question, how do I unlock Satch Boogie in Decades? I read on another site that I have to complete career 3 times. I've already completed the guitar and bass careers on expert (and unlocked We Are the Champions and Smooth Criminal). Do I need to play through it again on a lower difficulty now for Satch? Because yuck...

The 3 bonus songs are unlocked by completing the 3 different careers.

Beat Lead Guitar for We Are The Champions
Beat Bass Guitar for Smooth Criminal
Beat Guitar Duel mode for Satch Boogie

For alt-strumming, you just need to spend time with the game to figure it out. Some DS games are easier to alt-strum on for some reason (GHOT and BHDS register it well iirc). My recommendation is to go for small, quick strokes across the center of the touch screen.

Oh. I never even looked at that mode. I just assumed it was competitive multiplayer or something. Thanks.
