Leaderboards are up to date, for today, 12/15/2016, enjoy. The boards were a lot quieter this week, with changes only on Hard and Expert Bass. For Hard, we had FranArg with 11,023 points, and of course, sjay with an impressive haul of 4,680,960 points, that's gotta be close to the FSFC. Expert was JohnnyGrey again, with a nice healthy 390,629 points, edging closer to that 90 million barrier. With such a quiet week, I will give the nod to FranArg, as its been a while since we heard from them, welcome back! Lets hope for a bit more action next week now that finals are winding down.

As for me, work, end of year stuff, and FFXV. Work is winding down as per normal this time of year, with teachers just trying to get through the last week before sending the kids off for a 2 week break. Just a few odds and ends, otherwise, pretty quiet. I finished all my Christmas shopping last night with the exception of my wife, whom has given me zero ideas, hooray for online shopping. FFXV continues to be amazing. I did finally progress out of chapter 3 as I ran out of side content. Now that I am in chapter 8 and have access to the full map, I am working through that side content. 70 hours played and level 65, great times. So far, I have felt the game to be quite satisfying, with only one fight truly cheap, and only one item requiring me to look up clues online. Have a great week all, I will see if I can get two more updates in for the end of the year.

Leaderboards are up to date, for today, 12/20/2016, enjoy. We had action on Hard and Expert Bass this week, a bit less than expected. For Hard, it was sjay, whom managed to find another 72,044 points, likely from his GH:M redux. Expert was louster200 with 136,923 points, and JohnnyGrey with 2,8,21,052 points and moving into the top 10. JohnnyGrey gets the nod this week, and if I am not mistaken, he is only missing 5 songs for GH:M Expert Bass, climbing up that top 10 is where the real work begins, good luck. Lets see if we can get another update in before the new year.

As for me, work, Final Fantasy XV, Diablo3. Work has been very quiet, but that's fine by me, the last day I have to work this year is tomorrow, then I am off until January 5th! For Diablo 3, the season is ending a bit early on December 30th, so with some of my new free time, I might play a bit to help the wife get her remaining seasonal goals done.

Final Fantasy XV is amazing, and I finished the game on Sunday at right at about 92 hours. The game itself is pretty easy with a great plot, and the side content available before you finish the game, while challenging at times is not too bad. However, the secret dungeons for the post game content are nuts. So, you can pretty reliably beat the game at 45 to 50 in level, with a cap of 99. The secret dungeons start at 78 and go up from there, and I made the mistake of entering the 100 floor one. Yes, you read that right, 100 floors, with a save point every 10. After 4 hours I am still in that dungeon, I hope the others are not this bad/hard. If you have any interest in RPGs and have not yet bought FFXV, I highly recommend it. Have a great Christmas everyone, if you celebrate such.

Leaderboards are up to date, for today, 01/05/2017, enjoy. Happy New Year everyone, you all were pretty busy over the holidays. There were changes with Hard and Expert Bass only, I expected more. For Hard Bass, we had 203,693 points from FranArg, nice work there. On Expert, we had 1,612,691 points from JohnnyGrey, nice to see him back to entering scores. All in all, pretty quiet for the break, I will give the nod to JohnnyGrey for biggest point jump. Lets hope for more action next week.

As for me, I had a nice holiday break, Diablo3, and Final Fantasy XV. I had a nice Christmas with my family, and a pretty fun, although reasonably tame New Years with two smaller kegs. Final Fantasy XV is finally topped out, with all the side quests, all the hunts, and all the bonus dungeons fully completed. That took me right at about 132 hours played, a pretty impressive amount of content for a modern game. Diablo3, they ended Season 8, and my wife didn't complete her goals, so she didn't get the stash tab. The patch added Darkened Tristam, a retro version of Diablo 1 shoehorned into Diablo 3 game work. It is a lot of fun, and if you have the game and expansion I highly recommend it. Season 9 begins tomorrow, and I wonder how much I will participate as the biggest carrot for me is only the pet with chapter 4. Final Fantasy XV will gradually be adding in content as DLC, so there is that to look forward to. I was supposed to go back to work today, but 1.5 inches of snow was apparently enough to call it a snow day, so yea. Happy new year everyone, and have a good week.

And here in Canada, that one time in 2012/2013 (I think it was one of those) it reached -40, school and work were still on. Nice.

For real, the snow wasn't up to the tops of my toes on my shoes. Also, fun fact, Montreal and Venice are at the same latitude.
Montreal: 45 30′ 0″ N, 73 34′ 0″ W
Venice: 45 26′ 15″ N, 12 20′ 9″ E

I think it came down to some administrator feeling they needed an extra day of winter break.

-40C in a dry setup is a piece of cake. -35C in a humid environement feels like -75000C.

Leaderboards are up to date, for today, 01/18/2017. I gave you all an extra week, and still there were no changes at all to bass. I mean it is the least loved instrument in the band, but I figured there would be some movement at least. Ah well, lets hope for more (any) action next week.

As for me, work, Diablo3. So, for work, I have worked now a grand total of 4 days in 2017 before today. Friday the 6th, M, T, Th last week and yesterday. We had one snow day, one ice day (last Friday) and MLK day on Monday. Needless to say its been nice to have some extra time, almost like an extension of my winter break. What have I done with that time? I mostly have played Diablo3, as the new season started on the 6th. In that time, I have played about 40 hours, and have fully finished the season journey to Guardian, minus doing 2 or 3 rifts tonight to finish leveling my three main gems to 70. That is a total of 12 days into a season, typically 12 weeks long, that I wasn't sure I was going to play. I mostly started this season to have a character to help out my wife get her seasonal goals done as she just missed out on the stash tab last season. So far, she is nearly done with Chapter 5 of 9, and I have helped to get her to a decent paragon lots of objectives and some gearing. Mostly, its now on her to learn her class, get a few pieces to finish her build, and do the solo rifts. This season was by far the easiest to date, and the conquests were almost all the easiest variety. Sadly, it looks like the game is in maintenance mode until the Necromancer expansion hits, likely in September. Have a good week all.

Leaderboards are up to date, for today, 01/25/2017, enjoy. There was only movement by a single person this week on bass, by greenbaymackey. For our update this week, we have 41,150 points, boosting his already impressive total. That was it, thanks for making the update worthwhile this week greenbaymackey! Lets hope for more action next week.

As for me, work, Diablo3, FFXV. FFXV just dropped a special moogle chocobo fair event that runs through the 19th of February, if you have a copy of the game, go to the store and get the Holiday update pack to get your tickets. It is fun and cute, and there is really only one thing that you cannot get in the main game, but is worth your time. Work has been pretty quiet, that's normal this time of year. Finally, for Diablo3, my seasonal goals are complete, but I have been grinding legendary gems still. I have 9 gems up to level 58, which took quite a bit of work, but that's only half the effort, as 58 to 70 will be the real grind time wise. After that, I get to try out the grenade builds and decide which gear to augment with said legendary gems. I am proud of my wife, here we are not even done with the third week, and she cleared a GR60 solo, likely the hardest obstacle at getting chapter 8 completed, and thus her last stash tab. I have enjoyed the UE MS build, but grenades are worth a look. Have a good week all.

Leaderboards are up to date, for today, 02/02/2017, Happy Groundhog's Day. We had changes to the Medium and Expert Bass boards this week, a decent week. For Medium, we had 8,744 points from sjay, glad to see him back in action again. On Expert, it was dramacomic with 1,554 points, greenbaymackey somehow finding 381,500 more points on the handhelds, and sjay again with 1,871,511 points. I will give the nod to sjay for most points, and for being the only one that seems to still care about bass outside of Expert. That's it for this week, lets hope for similar or better action next week.

As for me, work, exercise, Diablo3, FFXV. For FFXV, I played the moogle chocobo event, it was short and cute as expected, and there is the one mystery item you get for completing it that no one yet knows what it does. I might go back and see if I can catch the fish and do the chocobo racing, but I don't anticipate that will be more than one play session. Work has been very quiet still, its that time of year. Exercise, my wife has really ramped up her efforts to lose weight, and as such she is exercising 5 times a week and cooking food 4 dinners a week instead of 1. As such, I am moving from 2 days a week to 3 days, and may increase beyond that, we will see how it goes. As this is the starting point, not much to note except that my Achilles tendons were very tight having done only elliptical and cycling for the last 18 months, hopefully that is temporary.

Finally, for Diablo3, I hit my seasonal goals long ago, got the 10 ancient items for my UE MS set augmented with 70s, and helped my wife finish most of her seasonal goals. We likely have about 1 to 2 hours left to meet the chapter 8 goals for her, leveling gems some and getting a T13 rift in under 5 minutes. Beyond that, I tried out the grenades builds for UE and M6, and while they are impressive, they feel soo slow, and I don't have augmented ancient items to really make them shine. As such, I will continue to grind normal and greater rifts, which in turn will give me paragon, and hopefully get some ancients to upgrade with the augmented legendary gems. It is possible that I will hit the outside chance goal of 925 paragon in season, which would make post season be a neat 1234 paragon. We shall see. Have a good week all.

Thanks Bushidox, I've always got more points to find on all difficulties so I won't run out any time soon and it doesn't hurt for me to be a little competitive every now and then

Thanks again \m/

Leaderboards are up to date, for today, 02/09/2017, enjoy. The Bass boards were pretty quiet this week, with the only action on Hard this week. For Hard, we had sjay, with 15,053 points, good for him. Bass has been very quiet of late, I think its safe to say the site is down to less than 100 contributors at this point, and bass gets the short end. Lets hope for more action next week.

As for me, work, Diablo3, exercise. Exercise, I tried running last week, but based on how my knee has behaved for 8 days that was a bad call. Elliptical still is fine, but now I experience pain every stair that I take a step on up or down. I went to an orthopedist last time, but this time its far worse. I am having my cousin, whom is a Physical Therapist give me a recommendation so I can get it properly looked at, and fixed, this time. The wife is starting to encounter shin splints and knee annoyances, but time will tell how long she keeps it up. Work is continuing to be quiet, with the only big thing coming up annual inventory. Diablo3, I finished augmenting my main UE MS setup and equalled my personal record of a GR 78 solo, right at 800 paragon. I am continuing to grind more legendary gems to augment the M6 grenades build, and see if I can push farther with that. Other than that, my outside goal is to hit 929 paragon for the season, to finish with a NS post season rollover of 1234 paragon just for the fun of it. That's about it for me, have a good week all.

Leaderboards are up to date, for today, 02/16/2017, enjoy. Bass was very quiet again this week, with the only action occurring on Expert, with Chrisss adding 7,330 points, a solid week from him. Things are finally to that point where I may consider updating bass less frequently, we shall see.

As for me, work, Diablo3, new computer. Work has been a bit rough for me, as I have been sick most of the week, and it appears I have a sinus infection. I have antibiotics for it, but otherwise not much has gotten done. Diablo3, I continue the grind for more paragon for my 1234 goal, and to try out the maurader's build again with augments. My desktop computer was OLD, and I was already leaning towards replacing it. Then, the power company cut our power long enough it killed the UPS and the computers turned off. This apparently was the death knell for my computer, as the PSU and possibly the main board are both toast. So, I checked out Microcenter online, and found one I was interested in. I bought a 256 GB SSD to go with it, doubled the RAM to 16 GBs, and bought adapters for my old monitors as they had VGA and DVI-D respectively, not Display port and HDMI as does the video card. Got it all connected last night and did basic things, but the SSD and my old drive which I mounted in the case are not recognized yet. I need to figure out what I did wrong there. Have a good week all.

I'm happy to carry on playing bass too, lol. I only did one song on World Tour but need to get through more and at a quicker pace as I've not used my new Xbox guitar all that much yet.
