I had basically just started going through my next set of 10 songs on GHWoR when I noticed that none of the frets were registering as being strummed a couple minutes into the song. Once I paused to check it out, I found out that my upstrums worked normally, but my downstrums register very sporadically. I rarely get two or three strums to register in a row, and sometimes it double-strums. When I hold the strum bar down and it does register, it doesn't cycle through the options at a uniform like normal, either.

I would bet that this is a problem with whatever is used to register strums (either because it's broken down, broken off somewhere, or just obstructed in some way), but I also have no idea how to open up my guitar to even check.

While I have gone through a couple GH5tars, this is the first time I've ever had a strumming issue; previous problems were because the whammy bar eventually gave out (or in one case, the detachable neck got a crack in the middle that eventually was too bad for me to use).

So, first I need to open it up, and second is figure out what part of the strum mechanism is broken and how to fix it. FYI I don't know anything about soldering so I will need to find someone, but that's a separate issue I'll deal with myself.

(Sigh) In the name of gentlemanly conduct...Even though it is my funeral this week.
I'll Pm you, as the fix I have sounds bizarre and if it doesn't work, it will sound like I'm talking bollocks. Anyway

If it works feel free to share, I've fixed two guitars with this trick. if it doesn't... (shrug) Either way let me know the outcome \m/
