A lot of people already know about this, seeing as they went up last night, but I guess the boss battles aren't available yet, so that's news. As is this very cool bit of info:

That's good to hear. _________________

From a business standpoint, two weeks after release is the perfect time to release the first wave of DLCs if you ask me. Certainly a well thought out marketing plan by NS/Activision. Also, if Slither is as fun to play as it sounds on the commercials I've seen, it should generate plenty of downloads from XBL/PSS (is that the correct abbreviation for PlaystationStore?).
It's also great news to hear about the boss battle packages coming for free later in the month. Playing a standalone DWDTG is obviously going to be awesome (assuming it is standalone and not battle), but two more tracks that are pretty much pure guitar solos are awesome too. I mean, I love CoP, CoD, and Impulse, but I'll always welcome more instrumental/guitar solo heavy tracks to the game. |

Slither is a damn tricky song. I'm still amazed at all the crazy chord combos in this game.
Very glad to hear the three encores will be free of charge. That was a good move on their part. _________________

Why don't they show the PS2 any love? Give the ghetto-gamers some new music! _________________

making the boss battles free was a great move. there would have been such a public outcry if people had to pay for those songs when they were already in the game. sure they could have made some money by selling the pack, but this was definately the right decision. also, im still fearful of the price for dlc 3 packs since it will prob be the same as gh2 for 360 which i felt was a bit overpriced. |

I think this is a great start for Neversoft's DLC strategy. Having the boss battles free may incline more people to be like "hey since I'm not paying for these how bout I buy one of these other packs with it?" It's 2 packs for the price of one....smart move. _________________
