Hate the sound of this song, and I suck at it.

Nuntheless.....

Here's my blows off 3 sp's strategy.

1 - 2 with full whammy, start after the 2 Y notes after the BBYYRRGGG
this misses sp 3, but lots of notes
2 - Whammy the sp to 3/4 full and act. at last measure so it runs out before sp 5
3 - 2 sp act. immediately. this blows off sp 7
4 - 4 sp, act. at measure 67. this leaves sp 12 useless

Chartwise gets a ton of notes. Strategy wise????????

any tips?

I'll share an outline of the path with which I got #1 a while ago, though it has been overthrown while I was away for Christmas. But I'll probably go for first again with a few activation tweaks later tonight... (Edit: couldn't do it, but I'd say it's possible.)

(SP phrases to be skipped in parentheses)

2 - (1) - 1 - (2) - 1 - (1) - 3 - (1)

Thanks, I think I get the idea. I'll give it a try.

Mine works off this strategy. Just got #1 - 161964.

2SP's get the 2nd two yellows after the BBYYRRGGG, should stop right before the long SP

1 SP activate right before the next SP, again should stop right before the long SP

1 SP activate 1st note that's next

3 SP's activate 1 or 2 green notes before the RY chords. should stop right after the GY chord which I did not get on my # 1 run, so I think there's 200 left out there.

i dont get what you mean by "skip the ones in parantheses" - skip them? eh? I keep getting 100% on this song and only 148k or so, so im doing something wrong, but i dont get what you mean by 2 (1) 1 and all that, im used to seeing 2-2-3-2 and such like?

Care to explain to a dim-witted fool like me?

The path is 2-1-1-3, but you miss the amount of sp phrases in parantheses while doing those activations.

Is there no way to hit 11 or 12/12 on this song then?

You could, but that would just be a waste of a lot of sp, and you wouldn't get as high of a score.

Is whammying the last SP phrase even possible (within reason)? I'm not an expert at early whammying or anything, but I'm not even coming close, and judging from the top scores, it hasn't been done.

I think I posted that same question in expert. I think all of Debr's pathes had that final one as a single activation. And boy does it stretch the bounds of timing windows. I could see it in the upper bound path but the simpler path should have been without that last single. And I'm not sure if anyone responded saying yes they got it.

edit: Ha shoulda checked. The post was in hard level.
Cdw01 responded with possible in theory but not likely to be done. Coming from one of the best players at getting whammyness, and he couldn't do it, I'll go out on the limb of imposssible.

So try some earlier path that combines that last one or doesn't use it at all.

I figured as much. There's one guy on Youtube with a video where he allegedly does it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIxIfDj1e4o

And Lo7 mentions it in one of the Starpower podcasts (the Nov. 2nd one) and says that he's done it, but reasonably speaking, I doubt most people (myself included) would be able to be that accurate. The margin for error at that fast of a tempo has to be razor-thin.

I used the "big squeeze" path and I'm currently 30th, and I'm pretty crappy at squeezing, so I think that's good enough for me.
