I'm in a Minneapolis rock band called Concentual. I've seen the Memory Lane thing, but if there is enough interest, I'd maybe try to pitch a LARGE tournament at a downtown venue like the Fine Line. My idea would be to have multiple stations going for different skill levels, and then at the end of the night, have the Finals played up on the stage with the game piped into the soundsystem and and video screens. I'd try to get some radio stations and sponsors involved so there could be advertising and stuff in the City Pages. How many people show up for the Memory Lanes gig right now on a Wednesday night for the small prizes? I'd probably need to guarentee like a 100 people would show up on a weeknight to spark their interest.

The one time I went to Memory Lanes there were about 10 people playing. I think it would take quite a bit of advertising to ensure 100 people would show up.
