My goal here to to create a good SP path for someone who cannot hit the trills or the solo (aka me). This is the first time I have ever attempted to create any kind of SP path, so I thought it would make sense if I post it here and ask for opinions on how I am doing.

Path

I tried to take into account all of my limitations. For example, black lines are where I will whammy, meaning I don't whammy much. And I also tilt to activate in an inaccurate way that might activate a few notes earlier or later than planned. So that, of course, means I can't squeeze either.

However, so far I have not been able to use this path to beat my best score, which was a run in which I used SP entirely randomly. That's partly because I haven't been able to pull off my own path correctly just yet. This path demands that I do about the best that I can. Most of the time I will miss an SP phase or lose my multiplier during an activation, but I know if I keep at it I'll get it right soon enough. I can only hope that, when I do get it right, I will get a new high score for taking the plunge and trying to make my first SP path.

But it's starting to appear that this path won't increase my score much over when I just use SP randomly. Are there any large, obvious mistakes I made in this path, or any tips that I should know on how to make better ones? I'll be very thankful for any input that anyone has to offer.

twilight, i'm pretty sure your last two activations would be better off being pushed back a bit to the part that goes Y Y YO Y Y YO

I'll post my path after this week of the leagues is over. Watch this space.

Path edited in:

Light Blue = preferable course of action.

Dark Blue = if you can't FC the song do this.

I personally go 3-3-1-2, COMPLETELY IGNORING THE SP TRILL, because I never hit that anyway.

3: Activate on the first blue note in measure 58, and I think it's possible to squeeze in the last orange in 66 with no ticks, but the farthest I've gotten is the second yellow.

3: This is not counting the SP trill, because I absolutely suck at trills, and activate at measure 124 to get the most from the scales before the crazy part in 1b.

1: Activate at 158. This is the one I'm shakiest on, but I think it's the right place to activate.

2: Activate at 190.

This path usually works for me, and my score won't reflect what I've gotten with this path until Saturday, but I would REALLY appreciate if someone gave me some feedback on this path.

All I have to say is thanks, Pope!

I can easily hit all but the fast end of solo 1b, and using Pope's SP use, I was able to make what I think is an optimal path (not counting the super fast notes at the end of the solo, which I skip as soon as they shift down to RYBO, so I can hit the sp phrase).

PS. Does anyone know the nps of the end of solo 1b?

Recently having trouble to 5-star this, Pope's path worked best for me. I got 92%, using his path, only I missed the SP Trill, so for me it was 22212

Where do you activate them? Yes, I know, this is an old topic, and I am very sorry, but I just wanted to know. And is this optimal? If it's not, what is?
