Welcome to Season 9 of Scorehero Leagues!

This thread is for discussion of the GH3 Twists Open Difficulty leagues. With the new interface, there will no longer be actual threads for the results.

We are still sorting out who will be commissioning each league this season.

Week 1 Songs
Will be posted at the leagues page

All songs must be submitted Saturday Night by 11:59 PM EST (9PM PST). There is no way for us to add or edit scores. If you miss the deadline there is no way for your scores to be counted. If you typo your score, there is no way for us to fix it. Please be careful.

When submitting your scores, the following are now REQUIRED:
Score - Note Streak and %.
Failure to submit each of those field will result in a disqualified score!

DO NOT SUBMIT YOUR SCORES VIA PM!
This season, to facilitate score input, we will be usinghttp://www.scorehero.com/leagues for score submissions. Score submission will go up at some point tonight, it may not be ready exactly at midnight.

Where will results be posted? Results will be posted at http://www.scorehero.com/leagues. We will no longer be having result threads.

When will results be posted?
Results will be posted at 11:59 PM EST every Sunday night. This is 24 hours after the deadline.

Playoffs

Playoffs will consist of around half the active participants in each league. In order to be placed into playoffs, you MUST submit scores for Week 4, or if for some reason you are unable to submit you must notify your commissioner before the week 4 deadline.

Forum Conduct
For returning players, we will be running the same rules in the forum as season 7. For those of you who are new, we allow and encourage open discussion of songs. You can talk about the songs, ask for help, post about how you hate the song..whatever.

What you are NOT allowed to post, is hints on your scores. Do not post your current score, do not post a hint about your scores, do not even post if you full combo'd a song or got a specific percentage. Talk of this nature only serves to either fuel your competition, or discourage others. Everybody will know what everybody else got at the end of the week.

We also ask that you do not post league-obtained scores on SH for the week. If you do, it is all too easy for your competition to just look it up.

Ten NetBux says that the first song is Pride and Joy.

Anyhow, good luck to everyone, and thanks to elx for setting this up ^_^.

I'm not used to doing any sort of twists when I play, so I'm interested to see how far I last in this league. xD Good luck to everyone. ^_^

You owe me Ten NetBux

Expert:

Slow Ride "Mirror Mode" - SO GAY. I can't play in mirror mode at all... 5* if I'm lucky.. haha

Raining Blood "Ghetto Gamestop" - Won't be a problem. I usually play like this anyway haha. Glad I don't tap anything in the song haha.

Edit: I read the floated thread, excuse my ignorance.

Slow Ride should be easy to do well on with Mirror Mode on, not too worried. Then again, this could be one of those "better said than done" situations...

As for Raining Blood without the strap, I'm going back to Hard for this one.

>__> Raining Blood standing up. I never play standing up.
Oh gawd the first week isn't going to be fun.

edit: gheto gamestop is playing standing up with no strap on. No use of knees or leg is allowed.

Slow Ride reversed doesn't sound too hard, but getting a good score will be difficult.

Here is a list of twists and their meanings.

Ghetto Gamestop Style - You must play standing, without the use of a strap. Both feet must stay level on the ground, you may not use your knees or any part of your body for support. You may use your arms to hold the guitar against your chest.

Wait, no use of strap. Where ever I play, there is a strap.

Hrm, I never use a strap when I stand up anyways. The fact that it's Raining Blood though is the problem.

RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE

Ghetto Gamestop wasn't too bad with an SG. However, that was about half the weight of my Kramer, so let's see how laughably awful I am right after this. And, from personal experience, I am fucking AWFUL at Mirror Mode. I'm glad it's on Slow Ride of all songs, though, so I can drop down to another difficulty and not take too bad of a score hit.

Have fun fellow twisters!

EDIT: After an hour of mirror mode, I almost started to adjust to it. I think I have my score for the week already, though. I'm probably not gonna get much better at it...

Wow. I just did my first playthrough of each of my songs for the week, and I found out I SUCK at mirror mode. That's going to take some serious practice. Playing standing up wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for the fact that, well, it's Raining Blood.
