Goddamn those drums are sexy. I don't know if I am creative enough to win though. Maybe if I think of something awesome i'll do it, but so far i'm thinking i might just have to throw down the $220. I'll wait until the official verdict on the drums comes from scorehero staff though. The ion drums are about the same price

The code doesn't appear to be working for those who have tried it yet, but it most likely hasn't been activated by Logitech yet. Once it works though, you only have to throw down $165

At the moment it doesn't look like the staff will be getting any drums to try out in the near future, just guitars, so don't hold your breath on a review.

You can't play 5-lane GH drums with an Ion kit, it's made as a Rock Band controller.

I'm thinking I'll do something with my DJ Hero controller, now to find some inspiration..

Yes, I need a new guitar/drumset!

I just wish I could mod something without it looking terrible. Also, a quick question. Can I submit a video of a mod, lets say for an SG from the PS2, but still get the prize for a 360? I really don't want to screw up my perfectly good GH5 guitar.

I'm really glad to see that so many of you already have ideas for your modding projects! I'm super-psyched to see what you all come up with. Please remember that most projects that you think up will probably take a lot more time to complete than you think, so plan ahead and get started on it as soon as you can. This will leave you with enough time for paint jobs to fully cure, and for you to work out any technical bugs you can run into along the way.

If anyone needs help completing their project and you absolutely need to keep your plans a secret, feel free to contact me as I am happy to help you to the best of my knowledge. There are also other places I can steer you for questions that I cannot answer. But please try to use all available resources before contacting me as I only have so much free time.

Keep in mind that modding Guitar Hero instruments presents some additional challenges as you need to officially void the warranties to mod any post-XPlorer guitars and you will also need Torx screwdrivers (specifically a T-6 and T-10 sizes) This can be worked around using a flathead of just the right size if you are lucky, but you could potentially strip these screws like that.

While modding, if you run across any helpful guides/videos/crazy mods that are not already listed somewhere in my Guitar Modding 101 thread, please post a link to it in that thread so I can update my guide. Thanks

Good luck modding!!

This is sooooooooooooo tempting, but I know that I don't have enough time anymore to make something decent. I got a couple other things I'm doing that isn't GH related that is taking up all my time. You can poke through my console fixing thread to check out my SuperGun mod. ^_^

Good luck to all!

Will you be modding something or making a video for this briguy or are staff members not allowed to? That would make the contest even more exciting.
