Not the biggest fan of Coheed, but that would be a pretty cool show. _________________

Rumor confirmed, CoCa is headlining, and they're FUCKING COMING TO SAN DIEGO.
Nothing can quell my raging prog boner right now. _________________

Looks like they're playing here at Fun Fun Fun Fest tomorrow. I'd totally go to see them and The Sword if I didn't have the biggest project ever to work on due next week. Full time + freelancing = work 7 days a week =
Anyway I hope the Coheed & BTBAM tour comes to Austin. Seen Coheed before and like them or not, they are a great live band. I would definitely make it out for that. _________________

Apparently tickets were delayed in respect of Hurricane Sandy victims and relief efforts.
Monday is your best bet. _________________

Sorry, forgot this thread existed. Was able to catch them while visiting some family in Germany with Periphery opening.
I'll keep it short; I personally am not a fan of Periphery or Djent in general (with the exception of TesseracT, and early 2000's Meshuggah) but there's no denying that they have fantastic stage presence and great energy live, they were an amazing opening band and got the energy up perfectly. I can't post a setlist here of what they played as I honestly know none of their songs.
The only thing I feel bad about was the fact that Periphery had to try and live up to BtBaM. As this is hands down in the top 5 concerts I've ever seen, even with the strange as hell setlist they had for the night (I have no idea if they'll be keeping it up in the States, but it started with one of the songs I expected them to end with, and ended with a song that admittedly makes a fantastic closer but I didn't see coming one bit). Paul's guitar work was perfect, Blake was of course amazing to watch, and best of all Tommy's vocal work was pitch perfect practically the entire night, his growls left a little to be desired on Astral Body IMO, but other than that it was fantastic.
The only thing I would say is that it was an incredibly short setlist, only 6 songs with 2 encores (granted of pretty long songs, and one REALLY unexpected cover), which was not what I had anticipated after past experiences (IE. their Colors tour).
SPOILERS SETLIST BELOW:
Set list:
White Walls
Astral Body
Sun of Nothing
Disease, Injury, Madness
Telos
Mordecai
Encore:
Bohemian Rhapsody
Fossil Genera
Was definitely expecting Silent Flight Parliament as the closer. _________________

I had to suffer through them for Animals as Leaders once. Did the singer clean up at all? I'm a big fan of Matt Halpern (who I don't think is in the band any more), but the singer I witnessed was atrocious. |

Both of those members were in the band as of their album earlier this year.
Also that's the first negative thing I've heard about Periphery's live show.
Not that it matters when this is the BTBAM thread. _________________

Stubb's again. Nice. Looks like I can buy the tickets Nov. 9th on the venue website. Happy birthday to me!
Also Coheed is headlining, not too surprised. _________________

No doubt hitting up the San Diego show, but I might hit up the LA show at the Wiltern as well.
Also Afterman Descension will be on this tour _________________

Definitely going to the show in Boston. If I'm crazy enough, I would consider traveling to NY for the last show as well. _________________

bout a week ago I bought my tic to the feb 17th show. This and my first concert 15 days before they go on on the same stage out now my main and practically own reasons for hoping 2012 doesn't happen xD I'm so ecstatic that I finally get to see my favorite band. I saw Coheed back in may '11 and they killed it so they'll be cool to see again but OMG I get to see BTBAM. It's really making me a giddy school girl xD (18 yo guy posting) anywho, I can't wait for this show to happen, I'm so excited. I partially understand the two touring together (both conceptual prog artists) but I don't understand why they are due to the fact of the difference in sound. Like I know in festivals and giant tour festivals it happens or with like 5-6 band tours but I don't get it being with these 2, but very very very happy it is. (how's that for some bad grammar) _________________

Update: have tickets to both shows. Who else from SH is going to the show in Boston, or in NY?
Considering whether or not to wear the Parallax II spacesuit. I got it with the pre-order, and it's never going to get use in any other situation. _________________
