Let me know if my phrase works since I did it from memory, Kire. If it doesn't, I'll have a re-recording available ASAP. _________________

Not that I blame anybody. I avoided them too. |
We think alike. :P
Whenever I attempt to do re-runs, I particularly dread phrase 14 the most - I won't be surprised if that would be the last one left. _________________

I'm with ya both. I really hate Phrase 18 myself, between the scatting ones. Of course I hate 16 and 29 too, but it's a talk about the scat-singing, so yeah _________________

Oddly the only phrase I would definitely not want to volunteer to do for this project would be #7. But it's comparatively easy and mostly one note, you say? Sure, but my voice barely goes that low, and octave-switching for just one phrase, in this particular song, just feels horribly lame to me when I can hit everything else. _________________

I can always claim that phrase if we have to claim a second one. #7 is my bitch
Anyway, hopefully we can get someone to claim the scat phrases, I believe it. _________________

I spent an hour and a half today trying to get a run on the phrase where I both hit it and recorded (I swear I always hit it when I didn't record) - eventually recorded a 100% one where I didn't sound TOO stupid. My voice hurts and when I close my ears I hear David Bowie
If I have to re-record I'm killing myself. _________________

well, spectrauma phrases got at least a 100% but it wasn't very reliable, so can you re-record?
well and rapstah phrase is very 70% - 30%, but it could be cool to have a more reliable phrase, so it's up to you _________________

Ah, shit, let me try to do some noise removal in some audio editing program (no pitches edited, I swear).
EDIT: I imagined there to be more noise than there actually was, I'm not sure why it's not hitting the phrase... I don't think there are any chances of a better recording either. _________________

Since my phrase is listed in green in the OP, can I assume you got it working? Can I send you a video with the exact sound file as audio then? _________________

Maybe an idea to combine phrase 1/2 with each other and phrase 13/14 because they are scatting parts and not a lot of peope wants them. (Which is quite obvious) _________________

I agree. If nobody takes the remaining scatting parts, then I would be more than willing to attempt a few more and combine phrases like 1/2 and 13/14. |
