I'm good at guitar, a decent drummer but i really suck at singing. I'm trying very hard to FC Master Exploder on vocals, I know the song extremely well, i calibrated my lag (if it's necessary for vox ...) I sing perfectly and stay at the same tone when it's needed but I don't know why, for the things that doesn't change tone (like 2nd phrase on Master Exploder) the yellow thing stops apearing for 1 second then it comes back. This is very very annoying because I'd really like to have some OMB FC's (on GHVH I have like 25 songs which I FC'd on Guitar Bass and Drum). Can it be from my mic or the engine is really that bad ? I hope you'll understand what I mean.

Sometimes it might be because you may be a semitone out of what you should be singing. I get that problem more often with GH5 and BH but I justify that by knowing what *is* the correct note in the end.

I think you're better off getting an opinion for someone who has Metallica itself though, if there's something there that I'm completely unaware of O.o

Ditto to Wooffus. As an owner of GH: Metallica for 360, with the same vocal engine as GH: Van Halen, I'd recommend you to try to sing a semitone flat or sharp (depending if you're too high or too low respectively).

And just be careful with this whole thing about knowing the song. It's different from knowing what the game wants you to sing. You'll get used to it. Of course, if you practice, unlike some RB vocalists who pick the game to play for a day or two, and then swear the game with every dirty word possible

<3 this.

| 57 RB1 on-disk FC's, plus 4 RB Vox FGFC's. No way I don't feel accomplished! =)

If you're sure you're singing in tune and the yellow comet sporadically disappears completely, it's your mic. When there is downtime in the song, test it out - sing some random stuff in the mic. If the comet disappears from time to time, buy a new mic.

Otherwise, yeah, just try to stay in tune. The engine works just fine, so it's likely either you or your mic.

Ok I tried to sing only by huming and managed to FC Master Exploder and Runnin' With The Devil, so I think I'll only sing by huming to FC but that doesn't make any fun cause singing with lyrics on a song you like is so good

If you can hum it you can sing it. I think your problem is that you're singing too liberally keep in mind the game is looking for the notes so dont scream. Hope that helps
