So, has anyone bought Draven? He seems pretty damn cool, and seems to wreck of played correctly. Maybe not as overpowered as Darius, but he seems to be pretty good. I'm thinking I'm gonna try him on his free week and see if he's worth it. Just wanted to see if anyone else has maybe tried him out. _________________

lol
Draven's broken as shit but he's pretty fun. Expect a ton of bad ones for the next couple of weeks, just like all the bad Darii (best plural) this week.
Also that Kog nerf is only a 10% damage nerf overall on his ult, he's still really, really good. LOL NOT ANY MORE GG MORE ULT NERFS COMING
also this is what happens when your random xerath builds mejais as his first item when he's 0/5

I think AD Malzahar may be my favorite troll build I've played so far. Words cannot describe the joy I feel whenever the enemy complains that they took 600 minion damage from the kill at about 6th level or so. 5/4/3 in Twisted Treeline with two of my buddies. Fun was had. _________________

Though it's easy to assume everyone here has 37 copies of it already, I figured it couldn't hurt to ask if anyone wanted Dota 2 XP. I have 5 extras despite spending maybe 4 minutes on the game already . _________________

So what do you guys think about the new League ranked system?
I mean, it's different...but not necessarily bad. I like it mostly cause so far I've been gaining more points than losing points. A win usually garners me around 30-40 while a loss steals about 15. _________________

Did anything really change? It just got fancier on the outside while remaining the same internally for all I know.
I like fancier. I love it, should've been like that from the start.
More hyped to get Platinum this season than the last (to which I only got Gold, because I'm bad). |

Haven't noticed much difference. I like that I don't have to wait thirty minutes if I don't feel like playing with clarity/revive Tryndamere though. No more e-peen contests about who's Elo is higher too. I don't like the fact that your win/loss ratio is hidden from public view now though. _________________

They didn't make this too public, but I think its a huge change:
when you go up a medal, you can't go down. Like, you CAN drop from bronze I to bronze II, but once you hit silver, you cant go back down to bronze.
also the whole series thing is rather new and different.
and the new dodging rules. i like that you can forfeit just 3 lp for 5 minute dodge. _________________

This was the same in Season 2. In other words, nothing changed.
I'll elaborate. Sure, in your profile it'll say "Gold" or "Silver" (and in the end of the season, you will have Gold/Silver rewards), but it's just your top rating (as in S2, the rewards were given to top rating).
Behind the courtain, your elo might've actually dropped to 800, and you'll be playing against mostly unranked players anyway, 'cause you'll be matched according to your elo (that's now hidden).
Internally it all stayed the same, if anything you now have access to less information.
It's just fancier on the outside. |

You can drop tiers, but only by not playing. You can lose 50 games in a row and still be nestled at the bottom of <tier> V comfortably. _________________

Who you play with is not determined by your tier. _________________

Now, a note-worthy change that I'd really love seeing is exactly this.
They should get rid of elo entirely and work strictly with a league system, imo.
In return, however, you'd need to be able to drop tiers for that to work. |
