Okay, my last thread was a wash, so I made this.

I didn't make this out of thin air. How I did this was as follows:

I looked at each of the GHWOR instrument FC breakdowns, then I put their rankings through a formula that gives the most weight to drums(since drums is the hardest instrument), then guitar, bass, and vocals, in that order.

That said, there was one notable discrepancy with the outcome, and that was Holy Wars being ranked as harder than TDWF, so I took the liberty of changing that.

So, without further ado:

Here's the formula.

If an instrument's FC rank was the easiest among its four instruments for that song, its ranking for that instrument would be multiplied by 1.

If an instrument's FC rank was the third hardest among its four instruments for that song, its ranking for that instrument would be multiplied by 2.

If an instrument's FC rank was the second hardest among its four instruments for that song, its ranking for that instrument would be multiplied by 3 for vocals and bass and 4 for guitar and drums.

If an instrument's FC rank was the hardest among its four instruments for that song, its ranking for that instrument would be multiplied by 4 for vocals, 5 for guitar and bass, and 6 for drums.

For example:

Song X:

Guitar: #29
Bass: #37
Drums: #50
Vocals: #72

(29 * 1) + (37 * 2) + (50 * 4) + (72 * 4) = 591 (the song's final rating)

Bonus trivia: the fake song I used as an example would've been placed between Cryin' and PSSOM.

Okay, I've decided that I'm gonna do this for GH5, GHM, and GHWT. All will be put into the OP.

Scatterbrain is still harder than DWEDFN, no question. The formula is rigged against scatterbrain since it has no vocals, but DWEDFN might as well have none anyway. >.>

It's a nice idea, but it just doesn't work as it should, I'm afraid.

^ No.

Scatterbrain Guitar FC Dificulty: 9/10
DWEDFN Guitar FC Difficulty: 8.5/10

Scatterbrain Bass FC Dificulty: 6.5/10
DWEDFN Bass FC Difficulty: 9/10

Scatterbrain Drums FC Dificulty: 10/10
DWEDFN Drums FC Difficulty: 8.5/10

Scatterbrain FBFC Difficulty: 25.5/30
DWEDFN FBFC Difficulty: 26/30

The formula concurred, with DWEDFN ahead of Scatterbrain by a very slim margin. You forget that Scatterbrain has two very hard charts and one moderate chart, while DWEDFN has three charts which are not the hardest, but are all top-five material. The bass is the tiebreaker, not the vocals.

Out of curiosity what puts ANL above FFWF? FFWF is near the top guitar wise 2nd to top bass wise imo hardest vox song and moderately hard drums. So why below ANL?

Scatterbrain>DWEDFN
You can argue all you want but this is true!
Scatterbrain>DWEDFN on Guitar and Drums
Bass doesn't matter and vox even less.

I've FB100% DWEDFN with my band, but I can't FC Scatterbrain on the spot and that drummer can't even FC Scatterbrain. But can FC DWEDFN 1/4 times.

So that formula isn't 100% accurate, sorry.
Maybe you should weigh FC stats exponentially?
That way you can get a accurate formula.

Because One for example is WAAAAAYYY to low.

I wouldn't say that in GH5's case at least Vox>Bass for example im no amazing bassist but I got 80/85 without too much trouble, however I am a vocalist and have only gotten 50FCs. So when it comes to GH5 at least for most songs Vox>Bass

First off, drums isn't the hardest instrument; there are just more people playing guitar because it's been around a few years longer.

Secondly, the ranking a song gets on an FC breakdown isn't indicative of its relative difficulty. Satch Boogie on guitar, for example, is way harder than Hot for Teacher; yet, on a GH:WT FC breakdown, it'd be ranked just 1, maybe 2 places higher.

Also, I made a GH:WT FBFC breakdown a while ago, using a similar approach (although with a more complex formula), but I just revised it and decided to try a different formula, so you might want to check it out.

Using my equation:

Done With Everything, Die for Nothing
Guitar: 8.5, Bass: 9, Drums: 8.5, Vocals: 1
FBFC difficulty = 7,53

Scatterbrain
Guitar: 9, Bass: 6.5, Drums: 10, Vocals: 1
FBFC difficulty = 8,11

Theoretically, you could think three hard instruments would make for a harder FBFC than two very hard instruments + an easier one, but it just doesn't work that way in reality. People have become so consistent at their instruments that they can FC hard songs 75% of the time, but that consistency drops fast when they get to the most difficult songs out there.

Here's another equation:

Done With Everything, Die for Nothing
Guitar: 0.5, Bass: 0.7, Drums: 0.5, Vocals: 1
FBFC likeliness = 0.3*0.7*0.3 = 0.063

Scatterbrain
Guitar: 0.4, Bass: 0.9, Drums: 0.1, Vocals: 1
FBFC likeliness = 0.4*0.9*0.1 = 0.036

The simple fact that Scatterbrain on drums is way harder than anything in DWEDFN makes a Scatterbrain FBFC less likely than a DWEDFN FC.

Then again, there is no way to make a 100% accurate breakdown of any kind, so I won't try and make too much of an argument out of this
