I also use chapstick to fill in the scratches. It only works sometimes, depending on the severity.

Took my Rock Band disc to family video. Only problem was I couldn't play Sabatoge. But they fucked it up worse now it sometimes freezes at loading and now I can't play Run To The Hills along with that.

I find the best thing for medium-heavy scratches is Silvo/Brasso metal polish. It erodes the area around the scratch so it's smoother and the light bends less passing through it, effectively removing the scratch. Just apply a little to the scratch, then polish it with toilet paper or kitchen paper - not anything you'll use again, like a towel. Clean the disk with a LITTLE water, dry it off completely and try. It's hard to fuck the disk up unless you really overdo it.

Bear in mind the part you're eroding is not the data-containing metal part of the disk, it's the plastic protective layer which is scratched.

Serious advice now: No-one likes indecision in their work, so find what you like that you're even remotely good at, and stick with it. Don't flit from one thing to another, because that just smacks of a large lack of determination and drive. And people don't like you for that, and won't remember you for it. I mean, I get that you have a plucky spirit and a willingness to try new things, but there's a limit, man.
I might knock it down to just Thursday and Friday.

I have used one of those Skip Dr machines, and now instead of lagging load times or not loading, my PS2 GH3 does not load at all. I followed everything they say to do, numerous times, and nothing worked. Now my game won't load at all, and I miss One Can anyone tell me how to fix those weird swirl marks on the bottom of the disk that won't seem to go away, and make my baby come back to me?

Here is an idea for those who are just out of luck and nothing will work...

1.Borrow a frien'ds GH disc
2. Create a perfect copy
3. MOd your ps2 to beable to play custom GH discs
4. Swap the real disc with your backup.

Now you can plat your GH all over again WITHOUT having to buy a new disc...It works for me. I sratched by GH dsic really badly and it loads for along time but it still works. I play with my backup and now it works like a charm...

Im a little confused on the diference between gel and baking soda toothpaste. Would this be considered gel or bakingsoda?

It has cavity fighting protection.

This method has worked every time i've used it -
get some creamy peanut butter and apply a thin coat to the reflective
surface of the disk (using your finger) from the inside out in all directions. Take a rag and quickly wipe the peanut butter off from the inside out in all directions untill the disk is mostly clean. Finally, spray some saline solution (try for a bottle of disk cleaner) on the disk and evenly wipe it off in a circular motion to clean the rest of the peanut butter off the disk. The grease from the peanut butter will fill the scratch and polish the rest of the disk to be more responsive. make sure you clean off all the peanut butter from the disk before putting it in your PS2 (or whatever). PB will fill some VERY HUGE scratches and make your games work.

warning - crunchy peanut butter is NOT a good idea to use
warning - don't put the disk in your console without letting it dry and without wiping the peanut butter off of it.

My game works now, but HSB still doesn't work. Oh well, the song sucks anyway.

I used to have high respect for you, which has been now diminished.

Also, are there any alternatives to toothpaste? I only have the gel kind.
