For anyone wondering whether this is considered a "poll thread" and thus against the rules: The mods have discussed it and ruled that as long as there is discussion of why a song is chosen as harder/easier, then there is no problem. I would ask all of you to try to add some reasoning to all of your votes going forward if possible.

Phase 1- Ordering small lists *DONE*
Phase 2- Specific Questions within each list *DONE*
Phase 3- Building the Final List *DONE*

This is a project that will ultimately create a complete Expert Guitar Master FC Breakdown for every game in the Hero series combined. This is well over 1000 songs and making a single huge list from scratch that anyone can agree on would simply be impossible. This way it is broken down into smaller sections and can be the most "accurate" possible. It's completely based on the opinion of participants of this thread. I did not make any of the rankings based on personal opinion.

GROUP A
About A Girl (Unplugged)
Band On The Run
Beautiful Disaster
American Woman
Aggro
Antisocial
Are You Gonna Go My Way
Assassin
B.Y.O.B.
Beat It
Crazy Train

GROUP B
Eye Of The Tiger
Everlong
Freak On A Leash
Float On
Go Your Own Way
Escuela De Calor
Good God
Dammit
Feel The Pain
Demolition Man (Live)
Do It Again

The middle part of this one was tough to place. I do think that DIA is harder than DM because DM has one hard part (those purple trips), where DIA is pretty much one big solo that is tough to get all in one run.

GROUP C
Livin' On A Prayer
Hail To The Freaks
Hey Man, Nice Shot
Hotel California
Hollywood Nights
Lazy Eye
Heartbreaker
La Bamba
Kick Out The Jams
Love Me Two Times
Hot For Teacher

HfT is one of the only song that could beat out those STUPID TRILLS!

GROUP D
Monsoon
Obstacle 1
Nuvole E Lenzuola
Mountain Song
Misery Business
Love Spreads
No Sleep Till Brooklyn
Mr. Crowley
L'Via L'Viaquez
Never Too Late
Love Removal Machine

This has quite a few hard FCs, and they're all pretty close in difficulty.

Edit: Just watched the chart for LRM and changed its placement accordingly.

GROUP E
Pretty Vacant
One Armed Scissor
One Way Or Another
Our Truth
Parabola
Ramblin' Man
On The Road Again (Live)
Prisoner Of Society
Pull Me Under
Overkill
Purple Haze (Live)

GROUP F
Some Might Say
Rooftops (A Liberation Broadcast)
Re-Education Through Labor
Santeria
Shiver
Schism
Rebel Yell
Spiderwebs
Scream Aim Fire
Soul Doubt
Satch Boogie

Pretty easy to place those

GROUP G
The One I Love
Today
The Joker
The Kill
The Wind Cries Mary
The Middle
Stillborn
Stranglehold
Ted Nugent Guitar Duel (Career)
Sweet Home Alabama (Live)

GROUP H
What I've Done
Up Around The Bend
Vinternoll2
You're Gonna Say Yeah!
Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast
Toy Boy
Vicarious
Weapon Of Choice
Trapped Under Ice
Zakk Wylde Guitar Duel (Career)

I think the last 2 are close, but that ZWGD is more consistently difficult and has a little bit of everything.

Edit: wow, skipped a group somehow. brb

Edit 2: Fixed. I know it may come as a shock that I don't think Today is the hardest song in that group.

Edit 3:

Pretty Vacant
Our Truth
Ramblin' Man

What?

How is Go Your Own way that high on your list? There no real hard part. Are you forgetting about those stupid verses in Good God? Isn't Our Truth and Freak on a Leash around the same difficulty for the same reasons? On the Road again is HARD, why is it below any of those songs? I don't understand. I could be completely wrong or misremembering, so explain these for my benefit.

Edit 4?: Sorry to Spoonman for all of these edits. Remembering the exact difficulty of 84 songs is hard.

-go your own way has a pretty tricky guitar solo compared to all the others, none of which even have a guitar solo.
-verses in Good God hard? the fuck? the 2 strummy bits are the only "hard" parts of the song i can remember, and if you can alt strum well enough to FC eye of the tiger or float on, you can alt strum well enough to learn those 2 parts in Good God in like 5 minutes. i would not consider the rest of the song missable if you're going for FCs.
-In my eyes, Our Truth is a median between the "trill" part in FOAL and Love me Two Times. again, not really thats its so hard, but the songs below it definitely arent.
-OTRA i agree with, i was debating about moving that harder. will do now.

Everything is based on my own personal performance. Also I'd like to take this opportunity to apologise to SpoonMan for my drunken belligerence at the end of the Aerosmith thread (I was sure you were re-asking a question that had already been answered, but the attitude was uncalled for)

Ok, so I mostly just copied Fug's list and left it alone >.> perhaps I will replay a few of the easier songs and fix a few things, but otherwise I think this looks about right.

-OK, just looked up the video and forgot that they added a solo. Studio version just fades out and I've been listening to Rumors a lot lately so I'm just thinking of that.
-The thing about Good God's trips is that it's quicker. I remember having to restart it a few times in going for the FC, whereas I barely had to restart at all with the other 2.
-Oh, the trills are faster than I remember them. I'll reconsider the placement of that on my list.

Thanks for responding, and I'll be making some changes to my list later.

Come on, easier than Santeria? I recall you being oddly inconsistent at Schism so I understand it being placed on the easier half of the group for you, but give the trill some credit; there's no way it's easier than Santeria. Half of Santeria has 4 notes per measure and the HOPO chains in its solo, with the exception of 2 notes, are mostly at about 9.2 NPS. The Spiderwebs trill is just shy of 15 NPS, is composed of slider notes, and is within the last 10 seconds of a 5+ minutes long song. Even if you completely disregard every other part of Spiderwebs (which you might as well do since it's lolez), the trill alone should make it the harder of the 2.

Please explain. Purple Haze is easier than PoS and SWA is WAYYYY easier than Ted.

Also, SpoonMan are you gonna do a DS breakdown ?

And what were you exactly doing with the last GH:A questions please ?

First of all, Purple Haze is way harder than PoS. The zigzag in solo 3 is one of the harder sections in the game, especially since it's purple. That plus the rest of the song's solos easily make it harder than the little purple trills in PoS, and... not much else in there :p SWA is easier than TNGB, but not by that much. Solo 3a or whatever it was is a complete mess, as well as the outro and the sheer length of the song that's missable thoughout. I can see how it can be considered harder.

As far as the GHA thread, he was just combining the little groups into one big one, thereby finalizing the entire list by just doing that. It was a little confusing, but it did the trick.

Actually I got Purple haze really early on...solo 3 is overrated imo. It's definitely easier than POS.
