So i heard that only the cherry (GH2) SG's work on PS3 with the TAC adapter. And last night i ordered this bundle http://www.amazon.com/Guitar-Aerosmith-Bundle-Guitars-Playstation-2/dp/B0017KA4FS/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1367666663&sr=8-4&keywords=guitar+hero+aerosmith

I thought i was a SWEET deal, 2 sg's for $30. Who cares about gha lol i just wanted the guitars. Anyways, the bundle comes with a cherry, and black guitar. Will the black one work on PS3 also?

Well, I'm much less informed and I can't tell how much it matters to you, but the only 2 SG guitars I have are black and their whammy only works for the PS2.
The whammy doesn't work for the PS3 or PC (though there's probably some fix for the latter), but that's it, just the whammy, can play with them fine if the goal is just FCs.

May i ask what adapter you use? I was looking on amazon and can't seem to find any adapters that are "100%" guitar hero ready. Honestly, i only need whammy for the original gh series and could care less about score on the later gh games lol. Thanks in advanced!

No need as far as I can tell, other than perhaps to fix the whammy issue.
Any PS2<->USB adapter seems to leave the frets & strum bar working fine in either system (that's the one I have lying around).
