WINDOWS7 GH3PC Xplorer error? help

I got GH3 for pc but when I plug in my xplorer it lights up then goes out. My windows 7 64bit laptop makes a different noise when I plug in to all the USB ports (they all work).Theres nothing wrong with the guitar because it works perfectly on my xbox. I trouble shooted it and it said there was no driver but i found a windows7 64bit microsoft xbox360 controller driver on microsofts website and still nothing. PLEASE HELP
