Hi everyone like the topic says im playing guitar hero 3 on pc playing custom songs with guitar hero control panel.

I have no background no flames when hiting notes etc. My computer is really good and im using windows 8.1 atm.

When i disable vsync the board goes perfect but i can't hit the notes. With vsync on i can hit notes but the board stutters making solos impossible to fc cus you can't go after the sound when the solo shifts all the time.

Is it possible to disable the vsync to get the smooth board and still being able to hit notes?

Thank you!

First of all thanks a lot for trying to help me.

I used 3d analyze first and picked my gh3exe file it got no response at first but managed to do the settings you showed. When i press run it says error while injecting dll into target process so diden't manage to try it with that program.

Was so smooth without vsync but coulden't hit notes can't understand why.

Anyway here's my computer specs.

Windows 8.1 64-bit

Intel Core i7 3770k 3.50 GHz
Ivy Bridge 22nm technology

RAM

16 GB dual-channel ddr3 799mhz

Motherboard

asustek computer inc p8Z77-v LK

Graphics 3 benq screens 1920x1080 60hz

4095 mb nvidia GeForce gtx 970

If that is to any help.

the stuttering is (mostly) probably becuase of bad optimization

tick admin rights (properties , second window) on both 3d analyze and gh3. run 3da and it should inject the dll properly

also i think the stuttering is caused because of a disk glitch that makes a random program use 100 % of the read / write

I checked the box run as admin on both the programs when i open the gh3 exe it's not in a seperate folder if that matters in the 3d analyze the program freezes for about 30s when i press run it does the same thing and said the same error.

try using in a separate folder, also re-downloading 3da somtimes solve (mine stopped working without a reason, but i deleted the files and extracted again)

Other exes runs fine, i moved my gh exe to a folder before i had the exe loose in my /D harddrive then it complained about missing dll files so i got all of them in the folder with the exe only. Then it went back to force dll or something.
I got the 3d analyze program again aswell.

The game is not unplayable i can still beat all songs just makes it impossible to keep a streak going.

Ye it's strange. Thanks a lot for trying tho.

Last question if you don't mind. THe board works perfect with vsync of but i can't hit notes possible to maybe change the ms from ghcp or something maybe it can work?

When i do calibrate lag with vsync off all the notes rushes by in 0.1 secs and the game crashes.

with v-sync , you need to calibrate , and because it's somewhat "Fps based",
using it without v-sync causes that to run faster and it glitches if you don't hit any circle

for example with 500 fps , the calibrate lag run 8 times faster

I made some progress i did some more research and found someone mention you need a file called hook_3DA-dll in the 3danalyze folder wich i diden't have after adding that i could launch the game using the settings you linked me before.

The board went fine with the settings i had before on vsync so i diden't turn it off but again i just missed notes for some reason and when calibrate video lag again the game just insta crashed.
