I'm just wondering how playing Live affects your skills in the older GH-games. I bought Live but I'm scared that if I play it too much it will mess up my mechanics in the older games. Did that happen to anyone of you, and does anyone constantly swap between Live and old?

I feel like it is probably different per person. After playing GHL recently for a little bit, my skills had improved almost as much as my 5 fret stuff had. Keep in mind that I mostly play 5 fret. I'd imagine you might be better at strumming or one-handing stuff going GHL to 5 fret. I bet after playing 5 fret for about a month after playing GHL you should be back to normal or better than you were before. I think that might be the case because of what I've seen with watching JasonParadise.

I switch between the two a fair bit and I don't feel a huge difference tbh.

It takes a few seconds to get used to the one you're coming back to, not much of a big deal. If you go from Live to GRYBO you probably will be using only three fingers until you realize you need to reach for five buttons. Going from GRYBO to Live is pretty much how it felt when you first played Live but you pick it back up almost instantly.

Yeah after having played GHL a bit I see that it's very similar to the old games after all, so I can't see it being too troublesome going back except for getting an untrained pinky.
