The PS2 version of this song has a lot more notes in it, and so that path isn't the optimal path for the 360 version. Here's one I came up with:
2 - straight away
2 - straight away
2 - bar 62 (two long yellows)
2 - straight away
2 - bar 131 (quick yellows after long notes) |

That's exactly what I used.
A note on the squeezes:
2 - not possible
2 - squeeze
2 - may be possible but I can't get it
2 - squeeze to get more of the G-hold at the end
2 - squeeze
Also, this is not the only song on easy that is different from the PS2 version:
PS2 version has more base points on Surrender (6658), HSB (150), and all DLC except AoS and Killer Queen
360 version has more base points on Monkey Wrench (68), FoP (400), and Lady Lightning (9)
360 version has two extra SP phrases on Stop, X-Stream, and YWC
(Thanks to pata70 for getting all the cutoffs!)
EDIT: There is also a difference in base points in JtF from the PS2-NTSC to the PS2-PAL/360 version. _________________

Hi,
The numbers represent how many star power phrases to get before activating star power. In the example above, it's saying 2-2-2-2-2, meaning, activate after every 2 star power phrases (although not necessarily straight away). Other paths might use 3 before activation, or less frequently 1 or 4, eg: 1-2-2-3-1-3 would be activate after 1, then after 2, then after 2, then after 3, etc.
Squeezing is a technique used to get extra notes out of a star power section, which is detailed in depth in the following guides:
http://www.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6393
http://www.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5591
Further, squeezing itself required precision star power activation, which is difficult using the tilt method. I modified my guitar to make the back button easier to hit, if you're interested in squeezing then this might be of use to you:
http://www.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=17478
Hope that helps. |

Im still lost with all of this. If you used the note chart to explain it better I might understand more, but from what Im understanding so far by reading the note chart is that I know when exactly im at 4x and I got half of the song memorized to where I know when I activate the star power I know when it ends. And yes the button modification will help me alot get the score I want on surrender - easy. I'll sit there and tilt the guitar I don't know how many times and the damn thing wont respond. I never had that much trouble with the tilt on the PS2 version. Thanks alot and when I get surrender done I'll post it asap.
EDIT: I FINALLY GOT IT, BUT THE LAST PART. I MAY NEED HELP WITH IT. I'LL USE THE NOTE CHART AND POST IT UP OF WHERE I USE MY STAR POWER AND EVERYTHING. THAN YOU GUYS MAY BE ABLE TO PIN POINT IT BETTER THAN ME. I GET 80,000 RIGHT AT THE END, SO I KNOW I MESSED UP SOMEWHERE AT THE END USING MY STAR POWER.

This is the path that I (and tma) used as detailed above. We're not saying it's the optimal path; in fact I can see one change that I'd make already (and will try tonight). However, it shows where you should be activating if you are trying to use that path.
My SP whammy extraction numbers are estimates based on the chart (25 hold points equal to 1 beat of extra SP). Extra ticks can be earned by striking and whammying those hold notes slightly early. You need to make sure that you at least whammy extract the entire hold though.
I think you are losing points elsewhere (ie. not just squeezing) as you are 1400 points short of the leader and there are only about 500-700 squeeze points on this song.
Make sure to read some more about squeezing and whammying. There is a ton out there and lots of people are much better at it than I. You'll definitely want to use the back button to optimize your score though. My modification to the back button is a pencil eraser with a quarter taped on top of it, which has worked very well. Maybe I'll post a pic tonight. Good luck!
EDIT: FYI, the two changes I would make would be on the second and fifth activations. I would move each up a measure. On the second this would prevent missing some points on the R hold by hitting the G too early. And on the fifth it may allow you to squeeze in some of the R hold points. _________________

I'd already started doing that on the second activation.
You're right, the fifth one may get a few more ticks, but I'm working on other songs now, still trying to get 2nd place outright. |

Well I tried the new strategy and was also able to pick up the squeeze I had been missing (and first place for the moment). I think that there are still a few ticks left to get on the last squeeze (and possibly another squeezed note in the fourth activation!).
Also I posted my modification to the back button for those interested:

I stole your 1st place Skek.
I think I'm missing one tick somewhere, based on RDTopaque07's score, and you're right... that extra note in measure 103 after the 4th activation is tantalizingly close... |
