Wow, Yngwie, you sure pulled out the stops against me on Jordan, I sure thought my 265k was good for a first, but you proved me wrong. Well done! |
Thanks. I really needed a HUGE song this week, so I took the solos into practice mode for 3 hours. My printed out note-chart had more scribbles on it than a pre-schoolers art project, from trying to optimize SP paths.
For MiaB, I'm medically ambidextrous. I really should have been doing lefty from the beginning, but I had wrist surgery when I first got the game and was forced to play righty, so the oppisite twist took me back to my dominant hand. Think of what happened to Greg Oden, and how being forced to switch hands due to an injury made him a better player. _________________

Funny thing is, I haven't used SP charts to optimize at all, which is probably why I do bad on the easy songs. If I actually used SP charts and could squeeze for anything, I'd probably be pulled out of the league and thrown into Expert. =P Basically if I FC a song, that's good enough for me. For instance, when we had to play Girlfriend, I got a FC score about 11k worse than my best, and still kept it for the league because I didn't want to fiddle with SP paths.
The path I used for Jordan only used 15/17 SPs. I activated in chorus 1, chorus 2, solo B, the bridge, and chorus 3. I know solo C is the optimal path but I can combo B more consistently than C. Still a hell of a score I probably won't beat for some time. |

does the b1/b2 split mean that there will be separate playoffs or are the two lumped together? (sorry if this is explained elsewhere, but i haven't seen it) |

the playoffs will be completely seperate, just like in a, aa, and aaa, with a playoff bracket per division. _________________

this is what elx said in the b-league thread:
elx wrote: | * - Players with a star need to have their scores reviewed prior to being accepted into PS2 Normal Hard league. If we find you are too good, you will automatically be bumped into the Open Hard League. If you find your name on the Open Hard league roster in the future and would have referred us bump you into Expert instead, please PM me or elx. |

Well done everyone, and thanks elx for all the collation work
Hm.
MIAB: woohoo! was sort of hoping I'd do well at this. Did try and bump my score up a bit to the point of utterly changing how I was playing the main riff, didn't help though.
Jordan - likewise, woohoo. Couldn't believe this, at the start of the week I could barely play it, then it just clicked.
SCOM - had real trouble improving on this. My left hand hasd serious trouble with the in the main riff.. just couldn't do it consistantly.
Less said about LTR the better.
Think I'm heading down towards where I should actually be in this league... couldn't quite believe I held onto 5th for so long. |

You are. B2...22nd overall rank. Looks as though you may not have submitted scores this week? Maybe missed the deadline of 12 (Midnight) PST...Saturday night/Sunday morning??? You could check your 'Sent box' to see when you sent them (should read something like, 30 Jun 2007 23:59, at the latest)...otherwise ask Elx.
