Once you get comfortable alternating your fingers for *everything* on a dualshock, it is very easy to play that way.

No you cannot, for one reason.

Green is down
Red is right
yellow is up
blue is left

in ddr you press left down up right

on controller you have down right up left

which will be very akward to play.

if iamchris4life can AAA a song backwards without looking, I think its possible to get used to the awkwardness of a guitar.

Actually playing DDR with the GH controller is easy if you play stepmania. If you flip it so that the orange is to your left side and green is to your right (if that made any sense), the first 4 frets are LDUR.

Also, I suck at DDR, I can AA pretty much anything barless but 10's and really really hard 9's like Cartoon Heroes, Afronova, HVAM, etc.

With the bar, I almost AA'ed (about 10DP off) Max 300 heavy doubles on a sightread so I can probably get a bunch of AA's on the hard stuff if I tried. I haven't seen a pad AAA yet.

ya but why would you want to put yourself throught that much hell just to play DDR when you could use the mat or a controller and just make life eaiser??

but good job on the "AA"s
