I know that I posted this in some other thread (I think it was the "Introduce Yourself" thread...).

My name does not refer to Presley's kid. Hell, I didn't even know that Elvis had a daughter, let alone one named Lisa Marie. Rather, it refers to my fondness for Lisa Simpson.

I just enjoyed the combination of the first and middle names, so I decided to use them. :P

My best friend from kindergarten's name was ChanLing (first name, yes, two capital letters). My name is Sam. He and I used to hang around each other so much that our teachers decided to save some time by just calling us "SamLing," and thus my screen name was born.

On a Top Gear special for the Winter Olympics, Richard Hammond said something about being "at the cutting edge of cocking about". This became an in-joke between my friends and I based on the fact that, er, I spend a lot of time cocking about (i.e. procrastinating and being stupid). Hence I became "the captain of cocking about", later shortened to "the captain of"... yeah.

If you haven't seen Top Gear... it's a British TV show about cars. Richard Hammond is one of the presenters, as well as being one of the best and most popular TV personalities we've got.
