Slowhand- your chart and explanation confused me, so I redrew it: Hey You - Hard SP
With mad skills, you can go 2-1-2-1-2-3.
-The 3rd and 6th phrases are extremely tough to get half a bar from, but it is possible. If you can't get half a bar from these phrases, use Piso's path (although I believe the first two activations should be delayed a note to instead get a note AND some hold ticks).
-Unless I'm making a mistake, you can't whammy the 4th phrase fully (meas. 33/34) or you'll overlap phrase 6. So red = no whammy.

Actually, you can only whammy about 2.5 beats of the fourth phrase. Even with an early activation after getting the next phrase, I nearly ran over the next one with 3 (and you have it marked as about 3.5). 2.5 plays it safe, still getting the note, but not all of the sustain under SP. Don't whammy the green sustain in the phrase, and stop half a beat before the upcoming measure line. _________________

I fixed the chart to reflect a single pulse of whammy for the G and the R in that phrase. That seemed easier to me. |

Is that second phrase possible to activate? I tried at least 15 times and never got it once. I just don't seem to get quite enough whammy. _________________

Er, you DID see Jed's suggestions, right? If not, it's at the very bottom of the second page. |

Yes, those whammies are actually possible. The best piece of advice I can give you is to take a leap of faith. If you're going to be conservative at all with your whammying and early strumming (in order to get that extra SP), then you'll have no chance of getting the half-bar SP. Strum so early that you think you might miss it (this is important, because again, you need to take a chance), and for the two RB chords in a row (with the space in the middle), alt-strum VERY quickly and treat it like those two chords are really close. This half-bar SP is the most difficult SP phrase to get in any GH game to date, so it requires insane skill and a lot of luck.
Edit: The Ghex charts don't show the sustains in those SP phrases, so use debr's Hey You chart, which can be found here. _________________

I didn't count Psychobilly Freakout's upper-bound whammies because no one's ever got them. _________________

Very old and fake as well. He hacked into the database to either change the whammy rate or amount of whammy required for sp, I forget which. _________________

ok seriously? i played this song for the first time today and got both whammy activations at least 10 times in a row...i don't quite see what is so difficult with them, perhaps my game is glitched? i don't know but i didn't even think i was early whammying all that well
EDIT: Hey You 1st Place with both whammies _________________
