It does ... it's a bit ahead of the song in the beginning. I had to record it in 45 second increments and splice it together, so over the course of the song, I must have cut a few frames too many, hence the desync.

Yikes! That seems like an awful lot of work! Out of curiosity..why? Document your star power strategy?

Because I could, I guess.

I've always enjoyed making demo videos of games I played in the past. Hopefully I'll be able to record much easier sometime in the next few months...

Also, I'm fairly proud of getting a score that's a significant margin above the 5* cutoff on a difficult song.

Yay, re-recorded this via direct input, so it's the same playthrough, but MUCH better quality.

you aer very welcome. i knew how much of a pain it was for me to get the five star, so i figure that i share what i did so that people don't have to struggle as much as i did with SP strategy

i just got a 208k run on this, but i didnt use the right sp at the end of the song. i got every single one of those orange notes in the really fast part, too. it probably would have been number 1 if i used it right

I'm still stuck at 135k... I sat and practiced the first SP for over an hour with VGS player, and I was SURE I had it. Turned on the game, and nothing. Not even once. I'm beginning to feel slightly retarded.

Don't give up man. I'm so inconsistent with this song (seems like others are too) that one run shouldn't discourage you. The score I got before 5 starring it was something like 108,xxx and then the next run I hit 149,xxx or something. I knew I had a chance when I had at least 35-40,000 points at the point where the singing starts (the R+Y hold). Use flyingV's strategy or else you have no chance. If you miss the first star power riff, start over.

That's what I did... after an hour of practice, I went and tried to hit that damn SP for an hour, and nothing. What's nuts is that I regularly have 32k by the time the vocals come in without getting the first SP. I can hit everything except the OSSOD and the 1st SP, I just can't hit it all in the same run it seems. It'll happen eventually... until then, I'm allowed to bitch danmit! lol...

Believe it or not I nailed the OSSOD on the run when I got the 5*. That was the sign that it was finally my time.

The first star power has weird timing, just really concentrate.

the first SP starts slightly off beat (i mean very slightly) then it's a RYB scale, slight hesitation (again, very slight) then you go back the other way. it's harder on expert cuz i believe the last note is a chord and i've gotten so used to hard's single note being there that it's almost like i want to start swearing wen i see the chord.

The first SP notes are such sons of bitches to hit.

So annoying.

don't worry about it too much man. just get a feel for how Stevie Ray wanted you to play that first SP. i swear though once i can find a way to do a dual video setup, much like ph34k's BATM video, and get it the way i want it, i'll have it up for you guys in no time at all.
