i like to think of the main riff as

1-2-3-4 1-2-3-4 1-2 1-2 1-2-3

but hey we all got different opinions

Back in Oct 06 someone asked for a path so I'll suggest one. I can't play this song for crap so it won't help me. Any of the FC gods here feel free to correct my strat. Weird song to chart. 25? sp's and you skip alot of them due to the spacing. Also can't really take advantage of whammy's so......I counted the notes (not like I could play em) so this should work. For players like me just remember the biggest note/measure counts are in the GY chord sections and RB chords. It's tough to combine both of them and use SP effectively.

1 - Get 4 SP, activate on the GY chord right before SP#5(don't get sp5)
2 - Get 2, activate ASAP on the RB chords, will play over an SP.
3 - Tough one, Get 2 activate on the 5th GY chord AFter the first BYRRBYRR. The idea is to get the RB chords right before SP#11 and still get SP#11.
4 - Get 3 SP use it.
5 - The solo starts, good luck with that. Get the first 2 SP but DO NOT whammy. Activate ASAP after the sp sustain ends.
6 - Again get 2 SP but DO NOT whammy. Activate as soon as possible after the second sp note of the second sp. This is a tight one.
7 - Get 3 SP, activate ASAP
8 - Get 3 SP, activate ASAP

Whew...Counted the notes this should be good, however I doubt I will be able to play it.

4-2-2-3-2-2-3-3 looks good, so I illustrated it: Slowhand - Cowboys From Hell Hard SP

A few things, though:
-Activation 3 is on the 6th GY after the second BYRRBYRR.
-Activation 5 will miss 2 notes unless you whammy a little. You may have to activate slightly early if you cant whammy little enough to only get that one extra beat (1/4 meaure).
-Activation 7 can last an extra two beats (1/2 measure), so you need to figure out how much to whammy to get it exactly.

Only took 1.2 years to coax the best path from someone. yeah.
IMO this is the hardest, confusing song to chart. It's funny at some point I blocked it in the same grouping but that same old blue chart had like 6 pathes on it and I can't read it anymore.

So 3(1)-2-4-3(1)-2(1)-2-3-3 is best. It was so obvious why didn't I think of that

I actually like this one better because it takes out some of the tightness of the activations toward the end and would be easier for my skill level. Now to go off and get 94% again. woohoo
