Awesome guide! I finally know what anchors do. This should make syncing songs a LOT easier. |

I may seem like a dumbass to everyone else asking this, but...well, the guide talks about putting numbers into the anchor, and I don't know how to do this. In fact it seems none of the guides to Feedback say how to do this. I've tried going to the anchor's placement and typing in numbers, but all I get is notes. I tried both the top line of the keyboard and the number pad, but neither get the desired result. I really want to try syncing with anchors though. _________________

You change the timing of the anchors using left and right brackets [ ]. _________________

Finalizer, in the guide wrote: | To place an anchor, use the "A" key.
To change the time of an anchor, use the bracket keys ("[" and "]") to change them in seconds.
Shift + [ or ] = Tenth of a second (0.x00)
Ctrl + [ or ] = Hunderedth of a second (0.0x0)
Ctrl + Shift + [ or ] = Thousandth of a second (0.00x) |
To be a bit more specific.
(Maybe I should make this bit more obvious? Don't need folks missing this essential bit of info...) _________________

I tried the brackets and all they did was change the offset. And I was right over the anchor.
EDIT: Wait a second...maybe it didn't. I'll try again. _________________

thank you! this guide is PERFECT. this alone could guide you through the process of making a very accurate chart. i swear i never touched feedback before but in 2 hours i made a near-perfectly synched chart, i just need to adjust note pitch and i'm done. i'd never thought it was so easy. anchors are awesome, thanks to turkeyman, and this guide too, thanks to you finalizer _________________

You're very welcome. Good to see other users getting a confidence boost from anchors. Hope to see your chart uploaded here soon. _________________

bump for this. Everyone should be using this guide. There's no excuse for poorly synced charts. _________________

i know what anchors are and how there used but i don't get why you have to use the damn audiacity thing, i dont get it and i can actuly play most of the songs i do on real guitar so i don't need it. In other words i can find the first note on my own. |

you use audacity to pinpoint the note (or more preferably in this case, the drum beats or ticks) down to the millisecond for more precise syncs. and you don't necessarily HAVE to use audacity, it just makes it easier by giving you a visualization of the sounds. just because you can play the songs on a guitar doesn't mean you can precisely figure out the timing of a song by ear alone. _________________
