Ah, that fixed it, thanks. Your path almost exactly the same as mine, which seems to be either optimal or pretty close to it. |

I doubt this is completely optimized yet, but it's what I used.

Same basic path as mine, but there are more points to be squeezed out in SP activations #2 and #3 with minor adjustments. The others I think are optimal. |

i meant to update my original post....i haven't looked at jc's path, but i'm guessing it's close to what i use now, just can't fc it again (cuz i suck)
EDIT: BTW, JC if you change your measure 31 activation to the single yellow note right before 32 you should be able to get a few more points, not many obviously....also, on the 3rd activation, I think I activated on the 2nd chord in 48....don't know if that's better, just a guess _________________

Anyone have any tips on whammying in general? I can't seem to whammy enough to get that first star power to hit the half way mark... |

Hold your palm over the whammy and down strum the note while whammying at the same time for notes that are just barely long enough to get SP from. It's how I do it. Just weird getting used to. _________________

Both are essentially the same path, and while the path itself (1-2-2-2-3) is optimal, neither one is perfectly optimized. JCirri's is definitely better, though, thanks to the improved 3rd and 4th activations. _________________

In activation 2, can you really stretch all the way from the BO in 31.00 to the YB in 35.875? These notes are 19.5 beats apart. Here is my math:
Combo SP = 2 phrases = 4 measures = 16 beats
Whammy SP = 2.75 beats worth
= 2.75 * (2 measures / 7.5 beats)
= 0.7333333 measures
= 2.93333 beats
Squeeze slack = 1/6 second
= 1/6 * 1 minute / 60 seconds * 135 beats / minute
= 0.375 beats
So adding up, I get 16 + 2.93333 + 0.375 = 19.30833
which is shy of the required 19.5. Did I miss something?

Just practice the fills in practice mode until you're confident. I'd probably add on the part before and after when you get the hang of it. Oh yeah, I personally alt-strum the whole thing so I don't forget to strum the first one, which I always do at least once. I don't miss any of the fills anymore, but I can't seem to FC it |
