Oh btw, you pretty much have to be a whammy master for the high score....on the last activation I wasn't able to get all 8 measures (which is possible) out of the SP and mine ended right after the Y-G so I'm sure I can improve this a bit

EDIT: 8 measures not possible (I got a little confused)

I dunno. I just followed his chart to the wire and ended up with 4 points less than him. Nice chart brook.

I got a question...

Your 2nd activation starts halfway through measure 66 and the way it's charted you have it lasting 4.5 measures. If you activate on the OB right after SP5 you should get about 6.25 measures conservatively. Not counting the overlap area of the 2 different activations, I count 32.3 notes including hold points for your activation, and a very conservative 34 notes if you start after sp5. It may be more depending on whammy skills with the huge whammy at the endof sp5.

Have the top guns here already tweaked this and it's just too minor to mention (probably) or is my math/counting off? I'm just curious. It seemed a more obvious path to me, yet I'm assuming it's been tried both ways and playing over SP5 is somehow better. What am I missing?

Thirst for knowledge must be slacked. Thanks I'll sit down and wait for my answer. Go Bears.

It's got to be a newer path...I hit every squeeze in your path and still came up around 1500 short of 1st.

your first activation should be on the RO chords after the third time the singer says "hey, wait" in the first chorus.
your second activation should be after the second chorus, get the 3-note chord star power phrase and activate on the next non-sp 3-note chords
your third activation should be after the solo, one beat before the last hold ends
your final activation should be after the third chorus, on the 3-note chords

i hope this helps, it got me 331k and i missed a lot of squeezes

For member's convenience: Heart Shaped Box - SP Path

Note: Second activation ending and third activation ending is approximate. Activation starting points should be accurate.

i got to 318k like that because i missed a damn note in the solo. it would have given me an extra 14k exactly (because the third area where you use star power, my star multiplier was only at 2x for part of the time) that would have put me at #5 on the leaderboards on the 360 version.
