I was having trouble 5 starring this song as well.

I realized that my main problem was getting my finger back on the yellow/blue button during the GGGGG GYGY GGGGG GYGY like parts.

As long as you can double strum fast enough at those parts (shouldnt be a problem, and if it is, good luck with misirlou and six) you should be fine.

Not sure if this is the same problem you had, but I 5 starred it my first try once I got that part down

Use the up/down Strumming.... I couldn't 5* it for the life of me... Then I got it yesterday. It was hard for me to get the button switch timing and keeping the rhythm. If you can play through that section completely once.... You'll get 5*'s

If you mean the parts that are GYGYGG then it switches to RBRBRR, I use my index finger for the G and the ring finger for the Y, then I shift my fingers up to RB so I use fingers 1 and 3 for those just like the first part. Then I alt strum the entire thing. If you mean the solos... well, I'm still trying to get all of that, but it's just basically different versions of the GYGYGG parts. I suggest if you're have problems shifting your fingers up for the RB chords in the verses or chorus or whatever it is, then take those parts into practice mode and build up from slow to full speed. That's all the advice I can try to type out...

This path's pretty obvious. Hardest part is whammying when you need it.

Basic Path: 3, 3, 3, 1, 1

3: Whammy all you can, activate ASAP.
3: Same Story.
3: Once again.
1: Whammy with all you got. Every note you can. You'll get activation, I promise. Then activate immediately.
1: Once again, Whammy like crazy. Activate at 147 when the alternating strumming starts again.

Separating the two at the end is better by only the hold that is in the first of the two SP's. So you could join them and sacrifice that tiny amount if you're having trouble with the Whammying. GL and HF!!!!

On the first activation, try getting two, whammying it all, and using it immediately, it'll get you and extra activation. Not sure if this is better or not, but it's what I do.

I don't see how that gets you an extra one. The Full SP only lasts 8 measures, right? You'll still get the one with the RB chords the way I've written it up. I guess you could make your path 2, 4, 3... but then you'd have to make sure you get a full star power with the first two. Better safe than sorry is what I thought.

Its pretty easy to get a full bar of SP before each chorus, so just activate right before maintain a nice streak. Alt. strumming would be best, but i just down strummed the whole thing really fast. Kinda rough on the arm but works. Get the choruses, get the 5*.
