No posts yet?
I think this song is a lot easier to play than it seems at first, just practice it a whole lot in training mode and you can get it down easily. |

My biggest problem with this song is the extremely fast RY-YB-YR section in the verse riff. I've resorted to using just my index and middle fingers and sliding that move, which seems to allow me to pull off the riff scotch free maybe half of the time. Using my ring finger should be faster, but my fingers always lock up and I never hit the last YR. What is the fingering everyone else is using for this riff? |

I don't want to say the obvious but... 1-2 for the RY and 2-3 for YB. It's like you'd play the part as single-notes (R B R) as you don't have to lift the finger on Y.
Of course, there's stuff (like that) I can't do unless I have the SG in my hands and the notes scrolling at me. |

Gonna take a shot at a SP path, (see chart)
the start of bar #47 in the chart. This were the riff changes to 3 G+Y chords instead of a short held G. Havent tested yet but a full or nearly full sp bar should be possible by #47
Then on bar #87 after the starred G+Y, should have nearly 3/4 sp that will last through the rest of the G+Y chords
Only 3 SP Phrases left so either activate after getting the last one or wait until bar #127 (the beginning of the 3rd repeat of 'melody' riff) which should carry till the end of the song to catch the last G+Y's
Assuming the sp on the chart is accurate this should be a good starting point for developing an optimal SP path |

I disagree w/ 1 and 2
if you activate immediately after getting the first two SP phrases then you get the two measures of R+Y chords then two measures with the single notes.
If you wait and activate a full bar at the first set of G+Y, it lasts all through 4 measures of the G+Y section and all four of the R+B measures that come next.
I just see more points during all those chorded sections than having that short single note section in there.
Edit: Just counted the notes. there are 128 between #s 1 and 2 in your path and 124 if you wait w/ full bar. I just dont see how to get a full bar + 1 beat worth of SP just from the holds.

I'm having trouble keep a streak with the part right before Melody 2. I can kill the melody part with all hammer ons, and I should be able to kill this part with all HO/POs, but I keep getting off a tad and losing my streak. Any help? |

When you start you're playing b-y-g-y-b-y-b-y-g.. w fingers 1,3, and 4.
On the last y-b before it goes up to o-y-r I'll slide my 3rd finger off the y onto the b to be in position for the o-y-r set and the b-y-r set
does that make sense? |
