So when GHII came out, I pretty much quit playing GH. The other day I decided to go back to GH because I never finished expert mode. I guess after playing GHII for so long it ended up being a breeze for the most part. Until I got to the dreaded two. I haven't even tried CFH yet, and can only get 98% on BatM. Gah it's so friggin' annoying!

CFH was harder for me than bark at the moon, just because of the riffs

Admittedly Guitar Hero can be harder than GHII because of the HO/POs, but after playing a couple of songs, I can play pretty good at GH. At the solo, just strum steadily, pressing any frets you see on screen, do the same of the end solo. That would be much easier if GH had GHII HO/POs.

I've had a lot of trouble getting through the end solo, but one day I got it. The only thing I did different that day was that I was standing up. Yes, I know, it is a pretty lame advice, but it worked for me. Untill that day I had only tried playing GH sitting down, but as soon as I stood up, I did remarkedly better.

Any tips for solo 2, I can keep a better streak in solo 1 than 2.

My 2 & 3 note POs work in both GH2 and GH1, just because ther is a slight overlap in the timing of the frets for me. I just strum once for each PO in solo 2. strum once for the first 3 notes, strum again for the next 2 followed with another for the last 3, change fingering, and repeat.

I recently 4 starred this, I was happy, 979th on the boars for ps2.

But, I have a little bit of trouble tripple strumming during the main riffs, I can do it someties, sometimes I cant. I tried doing it lightly, and tried slaming it up and down like I hear in many 5star vids. I also have trouble with teh SP path, I use the one I saw in this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDJhkNi_ibw

I do good with this path until 1:16 on the vid, I start star power right when he does at 1:03 and I still dont get the SP phrase at 1:16, thats not a huge deal but its annoying, then the part before the solo and at the end of that part I just discussed I keep forgetting the sp path(my problem).

Any tips?
I recently buffed my score up to 176k..

For me, it just took repetition. It was hard getting used to the stumming, but I figured out that every chord in the main riff when you strum is down (assuming that you start the main riff, the RB chord down and you alternate strum) I also have trouble getting that power off at 1:03. Try using the select button (or raise your guitar earlier if you prefer that) right when you strum that green star power note and you should be able to get the star power. It took me awhile to get the path down but if you think about it, it makes sense. After coming out of the first solo with all those orange star power, whammy them and when you get that star power with the BYBOBYRG, use that. Then after the part with GGBGGGRGGGYGGGB, those chords, whammy those and then activate star power immediately. Then you get star power during the riffs before the second solo... Hope this helps a bit...

Think of it like 1...234. Like when you play, hit the chord and then take a short breath or think ONE! in your head then strum the three green notes. Also, alternate strum there so all the chords should be down.

I count something like:

DAH...123...DAH...123...DAH...123...DAH...12345...DAH...

Don't ask me what number DAH stands for ;-)

Additionally, I don't alt strum the whole part, but only the triplets:

D...DUD...D...DUD...D...DUD...D...DUDUD...D...

Since downstrumming two adjacent notes takes more time then altstrumming them, you automatically make a small break before and after the Chord - its almost like replacing some upstrums with breaks.
